Titanfall release day

Just a friendly reminder to anyone purchasing Titanfall on release day *not* to book a day off to play. I anticipate the following:

- big patch(s) which will take eons to download with lots of errors

- as it is MP only, I suspect there will be major server / login issues

- I suspect we will see many threads crop up about how people are loyal day 1 supporters and not able to log in to play and some knucklehead will undoubtedly say they are going to start a class action lawsuit.

Basically what happened with the release of the xbox one will repeat itself with the release of Titanfall. Maybe I will be wrong, but probably not. Do not set yourself up for disappointment.

Damn if titanfall is a release day game I better reserve a copy.

 

Review Embargos

Why do games these days have embargos up almost until release eg Titanfall embargo ends 10th, one day b4 usa release not just titanfall but all games now Is it because of the hype / preorders so as not to interfere

i see u dont own a xbox one then the day one patch is 800MB hardly big and as for the servers over 2million used the servers for the beta and that wasnt even the full servers and everyone was fine

 

I didnt have a single issue on launch day with the xbox one it all ran smooth, the titafall beta also run very smooth so i dont think there will be any issues on launch day.

 

TF beta was very smooth for me...... I think MS has there ducks in a row on this one! It maybe a sick day.....

 

what happened on the release of the X1? i got mine home at midnight, updated in less than 10 minutes and was playing Dead Rising 3 with my friend 20 minutes later.

 

I think on xbox one the had some issues that were fixed within 30 minutes There was never any doubt about xbox live suffering any major issues. Xbox live is the place for online stability and online gaming.

 

nothing happened guys, this is obviously someone who is either upset because they cannot afford an X1 or is just trying to start an argument. Like many trolls on these forums. Another thread that should just be ignored.

Also a friendly reminder this game will be released WITHOUT single player campaign...will require a Xbox live Gold Membership to play...multiplayer is only a low low 6 vs 6 with a bunch of brainless running/shooting computer AI's to distract you from human/titans.
Also the graphics look like they are from an old engine and there are only 2 maps at launch...so ya im still on the fence but thats alot of check marks in the negative side. 2 maps only at launch? REALLY? lol and asking full retail price and no single player?
really? come on REALLY?
