TitanFall Release Day BUST & 0x8004804E Error (with the nice 252 min call wait time)

Guys, they have known about this issue for quite some time now. For all of us suckers that forked out $500 for the Xbox One.......this is our punishment. There is a reason why the PS4 is outselling the XBOne. This is why you do not hire the kid who
graduated last in his tech class!

In my opinion this falls into either one the following TWO situations:

• THEY CAN'T FIX IT:
  

Since this issue is almost going on a full 24 hours now. It stands to reason they don't have a clue what they are doing. Hopefully, they will flip the bill and pay for some outside consultants to come in and troubleshoot it. Meanwhile, all of us with
our dunce caps on who actually bought the XBOne can start debating a refund and get the PS4.

• THEY WON'T FIX IT:
  

I realize this reason sounds silly but think of it like this....

I have my minor in Computer Information Systems, and there is nothing that takes this long to diagnose.

Knowing this, it stands to reason that they WON'T FIX it till some other event they seem to be waiting for happens. I have know idea what that might be but it could be anything from.....an incompatibility with the code in TitanFall that disrupted their
platform and they are waiting on Respawn to write an update? Sounds pretty strange I know but I have seen dumber things take place in the corporate world.

If it was simply a case of server issues.....USUALLY......a company has a image file backup of the last known "good" state and they would restore to that. Since this has not happened who knows??? All I know is that I completely regret buying the Xbox
One. I upgraded thinking that COD Ghosts would be great and it turned out to be a total flop. And then I was hoping that TitanFall would redeem my stupid choice to upgrade and now this.



Can you imagine what it is going to be like down the road if they can't get things to work on the biggest marketing day of the year for them???

Anyone getting the Xbox One post here!

I ordered mine. Can't wait to get into a mech in Titanfall though its not a launch title. So day one I'll split my time with Battlefield and Dead Rising.

well said I regret not going ps4 myself after this. I was looking forward to titanfall alllllll day while I was @ work, only to sit here looking at my worthless xbox

 

Just picked my titanfall bundle up and cant sign in either. Even if it starts working now, I still have to download that whole thing since its digital. lame. Strangely, my friends are playing and I cant. They are in other states though. so wierd.

 

I have a friend who can sign is as well, why are some of us having this issue and others not? When I called they assured me 15 more minutes and servers will be up. That was 30 minutes ago. 7:16EST now.

 

You have a minor in Computer Information Systems and are suddenly an expert.... That was my major, and I can promise you that the stuff they teach you in class is NOTHING like how it works in real life.

Stop misleading people and acting like you know what you're talking about Groggy..

It's pathetic. You'd think this was their first console. Unfortunately we all paid $500 to beta test the new console while they play catchup implementing things that they already had working on the 360. Next time think about the customers and launch when
it's ready.

 

You don't know the situation, and just because you learned a few simulations in school in the 'minor' information systems teachings you got, there are many things that can happen and cause a chain reaction. When a business has a product that relies on so
many people to access it for them to make money, I am sure they are doing everything in their power. Oh yeah, and how long was PSN down. Okay.

 

I completly regret getting this POS system! The biggest launch for a game they pushed for so long and now NOTHING works! WTF. Why did I buy this system and game? Im a huge sucker. Im going to drop kick this thing from the fourth floor.

I love how you copied your own comment from another post and repasted it to because you believe your opinion is so valuable.

You believe that either they can't fix it or they won't? Did you bother to read your own statement? There have been plenty of launch day technical failures in games by plenty of companies, and they have never decided they can't fix them or they won't.
They get it done, just not always on your imagined timeframe.

And with just your petty minor in information systems, you could have found and solved the problem in three hours? Go paste your puffed up garbage somewhere else, maybe on Sony's forums.

 

If you're having connection issues, quite often a hard reboot will resolve this issue, simply hold your finger on the on/off button for around 8-10 seconds (the light will go off) Then turn it back on.
