Titanfall regeneration requirements are bs

I'm on gen 3 right now and one of the requirements is to get 50 titan kills with the plasma railgun. Why did Respawn think this was a good idea to make us use terrible weapons to regenerate? I feel like I've been trying at it for hours and only managed 9
titan kills with it so far.

I like to have something to work toward so I did regen a few times. I probably wont do it again. Some of the requirements to regen get a little ridiculous.

That's not the only weapon or challenge. You certainly don't have to do them all unless you're a completeist. And if you are, that's part of the challenge.

You can simply re-do challenges over each time you re-gen. Pick the ones you like, and tick them off as you go.

 

xenomorph this is one of the required challenges. There are 5 I have to complete to reach gen 4 and the others are a breeze but this one is a pain in the butt.

Well then... Be sneaky. Wait til you see one low on health, then finish it off

 

Although I can see this being very annoying, both for me and for others, I think the idea is to make you try new weapons and tactics that you wouldn't do without being forced. Also, it ensures that only those worthy of gen 4 will get gen 4 as oppose to everyone
who's racked up enough hours.

I certainly don't love the idea of the requirements to hit the next gen, however it does give you something to shoot for.

Not really related to this post, but second week into Titanfall I seem to be getting a lot of people sitting back while I 1v1 another titan only to dash in front of me, block my line of site and steal my kill... It's really frustrating!!!

 

I just done this challenge on Gen 4

I equipped one shop strike on the Railgun helped alot

 

^ Like Messiah said, equip the "Quick Mod" to the Railgun, I believe it opens once you get 10 Titan kills with the railgun. It's only half the power but there is no recharge, makes it a lot easier.

I quite like the challenges, if you want to generate it makes you play ( well me anyway ) different to how I usually would in games.

Mind you, having said that I wonder if Respawn might change the challenges in future? I've seen loads of people ( not just on these forums ) complaining about them, quite a few saying it's stopped them playing the game because it's just no fun to them anymore,
a fair few saying the game has become frustrating trying to do them.

 

the only challenge i dont like it the gooser challenge the shot gun and 40mm gun challenges i had done by the time i was level 22

 

Gooser challenge is hot topic alot not enjoying it because of that.
