Titanfall preorder sales over 3.5 million! 7 million sales in 3 months expected!

The only official figures i found where 3 million sales @ the end of December with 3.9 million shipped. They also released some US sales figures for Jan and Feb. we know the UK sold 96% more in March due to titanfall but no sales actual numbers.

The fact EA actually expected 5 million sales is whats laughable, games don't even seen 3 million unless they are something mainstream.

Well, in all fairness....if they were expecting 6 million copies to be sold....and then got over 12.5 (if the sales are correct and beat that record) then I can see how the servers are bad.

I mean...thats double what they were expecting. And it wasn't a modest expectation.

6 million is a good sale. I'm sure they want to fix the server issue ASAP.

It's probably sitting around 5 million now. It was 3 something last I heard, but that was pre-Titanfall and pre-$450 sale.

[/quote]Yeah, sounds spot on to me. Publishers are going to have to tighten their belts and start looking at realistic expectations. The money put into marketing alone for some of these games is just outrageous. And every
publisher wants these huge blockbuster sales matching the likes of COD.But that's just not possible.

Expectations need to change. Dark Souls makes 2.4 million sales and the publisher calls it a success. Yet Tomb Raider sells around 3.4 million and is consider a failure by Square who expected and budgeted for 5-6 million sales. Not only that, they
expect 5-6 million sales in the first month! That's just living in the clouds.
