Titanfall news Thread

That's good news. I think more game developers will try and push digital downloads this generation and I'm OK with that as long as they are not overpriced.

 

it will be the same price... especially at release.... do not ever expect a huge game to be MUCH cheaper as a DDL,, Maybe $5 or maybe a free camo or something silly... the deals come later on...after the game has been out for a few months.... to keep sales
going for people that were on the fence at first and never bit the bullet... like how Ryse was/is this week/next

 

They should also let you pre-download the game even if you haven't bought digitally but awaiting on the disk copy. Put disk in once arrived and away you go.

 

I just finished listening to the EA Investor call, and they talked about their DLC plans very briefly for Titanfall. Here's a summary from Joystiq on what was said regarding Titanfall DLC:

"We're planning extra content already for the product," EA boss Andrew Wilson said during today's investor call, "but in the nature of the live service, I think that that will evolve over time as we see how the player base evolves through the year." Wilson
failed to offer any further details on what that content may be.​

when the page was up.... it did say a $10 card.... but at that time.. the page I had...seemed to be inaccessible from the store...so not sure if the bonus was for DDL.. or disc based...

As a reference, according to everyones favorite source VGCHARTZ, Titanfall was almost at 250,000 pre-orders in mid december. So a quarter million pre-orders with 3 months remaining at the time.

I know there's no single-player campaign in Titanfall, but does anyone know if it is possible to play exclusively with bots, similar to Unreal Tournament?
