Titanfall Mulitplayer?

I don't expect to be playing titanfall in 10 years time, ill have had all the entertainment I could stand out of it long before then, also in 10 years most of the single player games may not work due to updates and fixes will not be available If you have
to re install so that point is moot, I have been gaming for 32 years and I don't mind where all this is going, you have to think also, when you purchase a game you purchase the licence to play that game not the actual game itself, nobody in this day and age
actually owns the game just a licence granting permission to play it.

 

Although it isn't as in depth as I would like, the multiplayer campaign does give you a little bit of info as to what is going on and introduces you to some of the "characters" in this universe. You have to pay attention because it is easy to get distracted
by the action going on in game and miss some of the dialogue.

But with most games like COD and BF the single player campaigns haven't really been that great and I tend to not finish them lately and only play the multiplayer aspect anyway. I would have liked to see an in depth single player in Titanfall just because
it is a new game and that would be the best way to introduce us to their story.

I have been satisfied with my experience with the game. There are some familiar aspects to the game that could be compared to others, it isn't groundbreaking... but the game does feel different and breaks the mold from the current cookie cutter FPS online
games and to me, that is a breath of fresh air.

 

If you want a stellar MP, focusing the development team on it exclusively would be ideal of course. A campaign would have taken away from MP development. Not rocket science. I would have been fine with no SP on the last few Halo games. Took me 6 months to
even play the SP with 4, and I thought it sucked anyway. Felt very tedious. New enemy just boring damage sponges.

 

I can't imagine I would still be playing any game from this year in ten years time tbh. I may be playing Titanfall 6 by then or Cod version 1346, but certainly not anything from 2014.

So long as its clear from the start there is not really a story as such I don't see an issue. For those of us that want to stick too story driven games I am sure there will be more choices coming. There is no auto aim pistol aimed at our heads.

And I can't speak for others but before spending £50 on a game I do a little research to see if it is for me.

 

The question I ask myself before buying a game is, will I still be able to play this in 10 years . Seriously though some games work well without the single player experience, others work well with no multiplayer and some work
well with both. I would happily pay full retail price for a single player/multiplayer only game as long as the game tickles my fancy.

If I enjoy a piece of entertainment then I know that I am also going to want to revisit it at some point in the future,

 

I would so play Halo 2 if MS didnt pull the plug
