Titanfall Mulitplayer?

How do both (more than one) of us play at the same time on the same XBOX1? Isn't this a multi-player game? I figured I could have (4) play at the same time. Thanks.

Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, Destiny, Titanfall, Forza and uh.....Titanfall.

Online multiplayer only. No split-screen, unfortunately.

 

Well hopefully the single player campaign is awesome.

 

^There is no single player campaign. The game is multiplayer only.

 

That is a complete slap in the face for a full price game!

 

^In its defense it has 15 maps at launch which is more than double what other shooters ship with. There is also supposed to be a story type element weaved into the multiplayer.

 

The game is amazing. I'm fine with it not having a single player campaign.

 

Great game so far, im kind of confused how the campaign works though, since teams are random each game that would mean you'll be randomly thrown into different sides of the story?

 

how can you justify paying full price for single player only games then, it is swings and roundabouts, I will play titanfall a lot more than any single player game out there, and it sure isn't a cod clone, cod is a shooter and that is the only resemblance.

I guess I would say that a lot (not all) of the single player games I purchase also do have a multiplayer aspect to them (GTA V, Halo series, Dark souls II etc.). With that even aside, to me what draws me into purchase a game is that I am expecting a story
to be told. Now that likely after 25 years of gaming, I am coming to expect that. It's true that Titanfall is breaking that mold, and I guess there is nothing wrong with that, so long as you know what you are buying beforehand. When it comes to FPS games,
I want both.

In 10 years time is Titanfall still going to have server access? As more and more games take advantage of the servers Microsoft offer, at some point they are going to turn off access for some titles.

When that happens your multiplayer only title becomes useless.

^ The game's engine isn't indicative of it's gameplay style. DOTA 2 is a source engine game, does this mean DOTA 2 is a Half-Life 2 clone? Absolutely not. And neither is Titanfall; apart from being a first person shooter it plays nothing like Half-Life
2.
