Titanfall Laggy - DirecPath - Linksys

Hi, I've recently tried to play Titanfall on my home connection, but I experience significantly lag in every match.

My up and down are both at around 90 mbps with no packet loss.

-When I contacted DirecPath, my building's ISP, they told me that a lot of issues come from the fact that they "filter" P2P.

They suggested that i disable P2P on my computer and the game will run smoothly. Since I'm on an Xbox One, I tried finding a setting on my Linksys Router, but no luck.

-I then contacted Xbox support and they said "P2P is disabled by default on the xbox one." And said I should enable DMZ on my router and that would fix things.

I tried that and it didn't work.

Thoughts? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm really annoyed that the only time I can play is when I visit my parents. ( and their NAT type is strict and their connection is 5 up 5 down. )

Titanfall, 5 bars, super laggy

Whenever I play any first person shooter on my home connection, I get significant lag. It's to the point where I can be running in place for three seconds or more, back to normal, then a disconnect. etc etc

I ran a speed test from my Xbox one and I'm about 90 mbps up, 90 mbps down, zero packet loss either way. In Titanfall I'm consistently 5 bars.

My ISP is DirecPath and they show no issues with my building's connection.

The eastern data center shows about 21 ms for me most of the time.

I plug directly into the wall, thinking, if anything, the router would mess me up.

Still, I'm very laggy to the point of being unplayable.

Has anyone had this kind of problem? Please help.

 

Last Night's SLOOOOW Down/Lag

Just tried Titanfall with 'Allow Play To streaming' and 'Record gameplay with game dvr' unchecked plays smoother still laggy but playable.

 

When you are at home with that console and have some really good spare time, call 18004699269 and get a hold of a networking specialist.. you have some serious issues my friend.

 

Hi, just giving an update to this. I determined the problem was with my ISP.

I figured out that xbox live wasn't being filtered or anything. It was just my connection was cutting out for a split second every two minutes. Not noticeable for practically everything but gaming.

I told the ISP simply that my connection was cutting out periodically and they fixed it in a week.

I spent so much time talking with customer service reps about opening ports in the building network and getting by the firewall... Long story short, if you're having a similar issue, and it comes down to your ISP, don't over-complicate it like I did. Keep
it simple. Tell them your internet doesn't work. And keep complaining until it gets fixed or they can explain why. (don't try to explain for them)
