Titanfall install: > 2.5 hours still going

Is this normal?

It's been stuck at 96% now for the last 30 minutes so I'm guessing not. I've tried removing from the internet and rebooting as I've seen suggested elsewhere (did that 10 mins ago now). I've a fibre connection so it's not slow. (disk based install and the
disk sounds like it's spinning).

Installation Stopped! (0x8007000f) GTA 5

2.5 hours into the GTAV install, now i am at 17%,.... WTF !!!! :-(

My Games & Apps > Games > [highlight] Titanfall > [menu] > Manage Game > Season Pass > [menu] > Install (if not already installed, skip rest of steps), Uninstall (if installed) > [power cycle] > [repeat all the previous steps] Install.

 

on that topic you know what I'd really like - a console to show current cpu / network activity so I can see if the thing is actually doing something. Disk has stopped spinning, but still at 96%.

 

OK so rebooted, pulled network, uninstalled titanfall, rebooted with network unplugged, installed titanfall, all good, console seemed not to like the process but we got that far.... however:

BUT then went to get the 800mb patch when launching the game and its 'installing' but going nowhere, no wait just moved to 1% after 15+ minutes.... bit rubbish.

Any thoughts? (Internet connection is fine) I figure day one patch sitting on servers where there ain't enough back end to support it.

Very very frustrating and very dissapointed. Reinforces my position that online only is a bit ***. Pitty the beta was so good

 

do a factory reset and launch the installation again.

Mine took only around 30 minutes to install, including the initial update. Just cancel the installation and try it again.

 

Mine took about 25-30 minutes to download. Definitely as others have mentioned, cancel installation and try again.

 

Thanks for the ideas, in the end the update downloaded it just took about 4 hours. Other friends had the same slow download thing happen so not just me but all done now.
