Titanfall is a sci-fi themed first person shooter that merges single player elements with an online multiplayer mode. Titanfall pits two teams against each other in various differing game types where the player controls a pilot that can call in Titans to take
control of or have assist them on the battlefield.

Titanfall is developed by Respawn Entertainment, published by Electronic Arts, and exclusively owned by Microsoft.

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is being developed by Bluepoint Games.

Platform availability

Titanfall is only available on Xbox One, XBox 360, and PC, exclusively.

Release dates

Xbox One and PC: March 11, 2014 (North America) &
March 14, 2014 (Europe) respectively.

Xbox 360: March 25, 2014 (North America) &
March 28, 2014 (Europe).

Pilots

A Pilot is the players avatar in-game and is the controller of their own individual Titan. Pilots have jetpacks that allow them to double jump and wall run, traversing the map with relative ease. They are able to mount allied Titans, and fire from
them, for additional firepower and defence, as well as mount enemy Titans to destroy them.

You can customize your load outs for your Pilot once the option is unlocked. Pilot load outs consist of :

1 x Primary Weapon: R-101C Carbine, EVA-8 Shotgun, Smart Pistol MK5, R-97 Compact SMG, or Longbow-DMR Sniper.

1 x Anti Titan Weapon: Sidewinder, or Archer Heavy Rocket.

1 x Sidearm: RE-45 Autopistol, or Hammond P2011.

1 x Tactical Ability: Cloak, or Stim

1 x Ordinance: Frag Grenade, or Arc Grenade

1 x Tier 1 Kit: Enhanced Parkour Kit, Explosives Pack, or Power Cell.

1 x Tier 2 Kit: Dome Shield Battery, Minion Detector, or Warpfall Transmitter.

Gender: Male, or Female.

You can customize your primary weapons by adding one mod to them, and on the R-101C Carbine, R-97 Compact SMG, & Longbow-DMR Sniper one attachment (which is normally a form of scope) as well.

There are six Pilot skins available. Each skin is determined by the primary weapon you choose and gender. There are three skins per gender per the Beta.

You can also add up to three Burn Cards to your load out once unlocked. These are single use perks that you earn during gameplay that are activated before spawning and once used are lost upon death. There are too many different Burn Cards to list here but they
range from amplified weapons that replace your primary or anti titan weapons to movement and XP gain buffs.

Titans

Titans are large humanoid shaped exoskeletons that pack lots of heavy firepower. They are available to be called into battle once an in-game timer has depleted, which can be reduced by hitting enemy troops with gunfire and Burn Cards. One destroyed
the timer resets and a Titan will again be available to be called into action once the timer has depleted.

You can customise your Titans load out once the option is unlocked.

Titan load outs consist of:

1 x Chassis: Atlas, Stryder, or Ogre.

1 x Weapon: 40MM Cannon, Quad Rocket, or XO-16 Chaingun

1 x Tactical Ability: Vortex Shield or Electric Smoke

1 x Ordinance: Rocket Salvo or Slaved Warheads

2 x Kit: Nuclear Ejection, Regen Booster, or Fast Autoloader.

AI

There are several types of AI present in the game as well.

Titans: When you have called in your Titan you can set your Titan to Guard mode, where it will stay at it's current location, or Follow mode where it will follow you, instead of boarding it.

Grunts: Standard soldiers that use small arms as well as Anti-Titan Weapons. They have low health and are easily killable in groups with a Smart Pistol. You will see these drop in pods during the game.

Spectres: Robots that use small arms as well as Anti-Titan Weapons. They have more health than a Grunt but less health than a Pilot. You can hack Spectres which will then fight for your team until it is killed. You will see these drop in pods during
the game.

Weapons

There are various primary weapons you can use as a Pilot in Titanfall. Some are only obtainable via using Burn Cards. They are:

R-101C Carbine: A medium to long range fully automatic **** rifle with iron sights.

EVA-8 Shotgun: A semi automatic Shotgun with iron sights.

Smart Pistol MK5: An automatic handgun that can lock on to targets.

R-97 Compact SMG: A fully automatic sub machine gun with iron sights.

Longbow-DMR Sniper: A semi automatic sniper rifle with attached scope.

Kraber-AP Sniper: A bolt action anti material sniper rifle with explosive rounds and attached scope. Only obtainable with a Burn Card.

Spitfire LMG: A light machine gun with iron sights. Only obtainable with a Burn Card.

A Pilot will also carry a Sidearm. Sidearm's you can use include:

B3 Wingman: A revolver with iron sights.

Hammond P2011: A semi automatic handgun with iron sights.

RE-45 Autopistol: A fully automatic pistol with iron sights.

A Pilot is also equipped with an Anti Titan Weapon. Some too are only obtainable via Burn Cards and can be any one of the following:

Sidewinder: Rapid firing automatic micro missile launcher. Inaccurate against small targets.

Archer Heavy Rocket: High power rocket launcher that requires a lock on to fire.

Magnetic Grenade Launcher: Launches self guiding magnetic grenades onto Titans.

Charge Rifle: A high damage direct energy weapon.

Lastly a Pilot is equipped with an Ordinance. Equipped Ordinance is one of the following.



Frag Grenade: A standard fragmentation grenande.

Arc Grenade: A grenade that deals small amounts of damage but disrupts enemy targeting.

Satchel: A remote charge that will stick where it is thrown. Must be detonated manually.

Titans are equipped with one weapon. They can be one of the following:

40MM Cannon: Fires semi automatic 40MM High Explosive rounds.

Arc Cannon: A direct energy weapon with a low fire rate that fires plasma that can hit enemies close to the intended target. Obtainability unknown

Cluster Rocket: A high damaging single rocket. Obtainability unknown.

Quad Rocket: Fires four rockets at the target that explode upon impact.

XO-16 Chaingun: An automatic high caliber rifle with a fully automated reload.

You can also equip your Titan with one Ordinance, which can also be one of the following:

Rocket Salvo: Fires a swarm of unguided rockets at enemies.

Slaved Warheads Once locked on the Titan fires a barrage of three homing missiles at it's target.

Lastly you can also equip your Titan with an ability that will do some form of damage, which is why they are listed here. You can choose from:

Vortex Shield: An ability that allows a Titan to stop projectiles such as rockets and bullets in their tracks, then shoot them back at a target.

Electric Smoke: An ability that is effective at killing Pilots that have mounted your Titan.
