Titanfall FREE with new Xbox One purchase? Big FU to Day One adopters from Microsoft!

Yeah, I'm *** as well. MS is selling COD Black ops 2 for 50% off today. they should refund me $30 since i bought t when it first came out. Also Red Box is renting Iron Man 3 for $2 the movie theater owes me $10, .........

Titanfall free for new Xbox one owners. Where is the love for day one console owners?

It does feel like a bit of an "FU" to those of us with a Day One tag on our **** for Titanfall, if new owners get it for free...

 

No Titanfall Day One Package?

I think those were aimed at the console day one adopters as oppose to the game adopters. You could be right though that this is something we may see from future games within Microsoft Game Studios.

 

Why EXACTLY did you buy the Day 1 Edition?!?!? You bought the Day 1 Edition for the X1 itself. Regardless of any games coming out in the future, you bought the machine on day 1 for the day 1 limited edition machine, not for TF, as far as MS is concerned.
I knew even before X1 was released that they would bundle TF with a machine, like they did with EVERY somewhat-major release on the 360. Did anybody really NOT see this coming?

I think this is a good business move for MS because TF is a system seller. I really have no problem paying for stuff I will enjoy. I bought the X1 mostly for TF, and I will pay the extra $ for a copy of the game because I don't mind doing it and I want to
show support for Respawn.

 

^^ Exactly. It's just abunch of babies whining is all. They could have easily waited on purchasing a Xbox One. I didn't purchase a 2nd controller right away because common sense tells me that they would release special limited editions sooner or later (especially
with TitanFall coming) so I waited. Like you said, this announcement should be no surprise to anyone.

We should all appreciate Microsoft trying to boost sales of the Xbox One. Having more players on the Xbox One means better MP games for everyone.

 

I was a little upset at first but now I am over it.

 

I'm complaining because as with many policies from major retailers you have usually at least 30 days, some places even 90 days to return or get a price match or be refunded the difference if an item were to go on sale within that time frame.

Microsoft is not competing with Sony in numbers and decided to make a price drop (in disguise of bundling a package w/ titanfall) only 3 MONTHS into the product launch.

While it may seem like I am complaining, truth be told this has repercussions for Microsoft in future consoles. I will not be purchasing a launch console Xbox in the future because of this. That alone will affect future sales, loyalty and brand image. I
doubt I am the only customer that feels this way.

If this was even 6months - a year later then I could see how there was a benefit to having had the device longer, had opportunity to play some Xbox One exclusive titles etc. There was no value proposition for me purchasing it three months earlier to play
games I could have purchased for my xbox 360.

Lesson learned...

 

Umm ok? So you are their marketing rep now? So Microsoft are quite happy to have Sony run away with console sales now then? Because that's exactly what will happy if Microsoft do nothing in the current market.

 

Yea I agree that hurt a little. We all went out and got xbone's right away. A lot of us who got xbone's first are the long term loyal ones, and just a few short months later they are rewarding the un loyal customers with a free game.

 

But Oh well I have my xbox one and preordered Titanfall so I am happy.

 

I just pre ordered the titanfall xbox one bundle today,glad I waited,but don't be upset about it because they do this all the time

 

I was an early adopter as well. So I paid £429 for a console without a game.

Am I bitter about it though?

No, It's the risk you take when you are an early adopter.

Besides this will be good for everyone including early adopters.

If it sells more xbox ones and gets even more people playing titanfall I'm all for it. The more people there are to play online the better
