Titanfall Digital Version for 26.99

Ok so please explain how the store copies of digital games are cheaper than MS, just spotted Titanfall on sale for 26.99 but not only that its only 30.99 normally compared to being 50 on the xbox one store, so how can a shop offer digital content cheaper
than MS, it kinda does my head in lol

MS needs a team working on that store and offering competitive weekly deals, price adjustments etc now i am not expecting them to shoot there own foot off here but they want us on digital and using there store then surely it needs to be competitive, how hard
would it be for someone to google prices daily see what competitors are doing and offer competititve deals, i know they dont seem to like treading on the toes of stores etc but why companies outside of ms do these price drops surely its a large chuck of cash
not going into ms's pocket when it could quite easily be mostly going there lol

This might be the wrong forum, maybe i should go to suggestions i dunno lol but i keep seeing these deals creeping up and they're really tempting so just wonder why ms don't seem to be as competitive on that front.....

where is the digital ver of titanfall on xbox 360???

To be honest the xbox one didn't have the same issue with the digital version of Titanfall. It seems to release the digital versions of games at midnight of your time zone on the release date for your region. I know Titanfall's digital version was on the
marketplace at midnight Central time for me.

 

If Microsoft has to be competitive against every retailers,websites,ect.....They will do only that....Like Steam.

Also,on Xbox one marketplace,there are already weekly deals....For a 5 months old system,not that bad.

 

Oooh. That's a good sign. Assuming that's not some sort of shady retailer pulling Titanfall codes from Titanfall bundles, that's a very good sign.

I would be all for GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Wal Mart, Amazon, and others stocking digital codes for Xbox One titles. That way we get discount pricing AND don't need a disc!

 

It just baffles me, i can go shopping, pop into game shops and any title i pondered on the ms store i can guarantee will be cheaper instore, i to hope asda (uk walmart) tescos and the like go digital codes for the same reason, get home quick qr scan bam
games downloading i can go make a brew... pretty much what i do with disks cept i dont have to worry about putting the disk away etc or having it at hand when i wanna play it and i will save a fair whack of money to buy other games or put towards other household
stuff.

I just feel like i will get a pop up message if i buy off the ms store along the lines of "Thanks Sucka!"

if i can save a tenner and have to deal with a disk so be it, i just think they should be checking out what people are doing, why would you not want your store to be the most competitive, isn't that why independent retailers have these price wars and tescos
use a cheap price simply to get you instore, they want you buying from them and no one else unlike ms who seem to want you to go everywhere else and come to them if all else fails :/

Things will change over time. People like me who value digital convenience over physical discs will go first. I refuse to buy discs for PS4 or Xbox One. If retail stores aren't going to get on board they're not getting my money.

 

I did not know MS was allowing digital codes through 3rd party retailers.... makes you wonder where these codes are from....

Doesnt make me wonder at all,if ms hasnt allowed codes then there out a box or whatever no need to get all sherlock on the code if the answer is glaringly obvious, if i brought it i'd redeem it through all the ms channels and have a game 30 quid cheaper
regardless same as people who have day one achievements with 3 month old consoles etc.

Digital codes aside, titanfall brand new 41.99 on disk, 31.99 pre owned (pre owned doesnt bother me since they carry 6 month guarentees on em, even more for my money), so i will save 14 quid or 24 quid taking a 15 min stroll to the retailer and i have a
disk i am free to do as i please with and money still my pocket to pick up another ridiculously cheaper priced game and i am just picking on one game, pretty much the whole catalogue is over inflated compared to the high street.

Well a 60 dollar game would be about 35 quid here.....cheap as chips till you add the tax

and i guessed they wouldnt step on toes of retailers but come on, cut it close, inflate by a fiver on the retailer or something not be undercut by around a tenner at least every single time

 

Just an FYI for our American friends:

Most Xbox One disc games are now retailing for about £44.99 online or around 49.99 in stores. This works out between $75.60 and $84. When the Xbox One was first released in the United Kingdom most games were £54 in store which is about $90.

Note however that the United Kingdom sales tax (or VAT) is 20%, a rate that this uniform throughout the United Kingdom. Which is quite useful to us as the price you see is the price you pay. They don't have to put the tax on at the checkout.

If legit (and it looks that way) I am sure many will grab this whilst they can.

 

DD copies are always available in the US, I have no idea why they are not on sale in UK stores, although I did manage to get COD ghost although it was wrongly titled on amazon.

However its not in MS interest to compete with retailers, until that changes it will always be more expensive to buy from MS.

 

problem cloud.... I think the codes were ripped from pre orders... as far as I know.. MS has not allowed digital codes through 3rd party retailers yet... how is some brand new store not too many people have heard of has TF codes for $30.00 but Amazon does
not?
