Titanfall: did it live up to the hype??

if any of the CoD series rank above Counter Strike, Unreal, Doom, Quake or any of that ilk then there is something seriously wrong with gamers of today imo

I had fun on it for a couple of days but then it lost its feel for me, just felt like a less fun unreal tournament lol if it had a insta gib mode and a redeemer i might have lasted longer and maybe if more of my mates were on it i might have lasted longer
but it just had a fading novelty and after a few days i was done, so i held out buying it and put the money towards ESO lol

I am with iBakez. CoD has long outstayed its welcome and I look forward to seeing if Treyarch or the added developer can help turn things around. IW are just running it further into the ground. I don't hold high regard for CoD anymore and I haven't for a
good while now. Titanfall has delivered a good FPS experience for me and I don't see me parting with it anytime soon.

Game is fun, last couple of days actually got decent connections with minimal lag, screen tearing and frame drops can be an annoyance at times, but overall it is fun.

Only concern is the longevity of the game as fun as it is, it doesn't feel very competitive, still go back to BF4 and Ghost for competitive play.

I think it has lived up to the hype. When not with my gf, I play as much as I can and have a blast, for the most part.

I think it's lived up to the hype. It's a great game! Lots of fun now - and surely more to come in the future.

i agree. Didn't do much for me either but then again i can't even play it, paid 60 bucks for a screen saver. What a joke this console's been!!! before you start hating, i don't think PS4 did any better. But at least i don't hear anyone throwing
out 60 bones for a game they couldn't play.

You can't even play this offline!!!!! something tells me MS, will be making the X1 an online all the time console after all.

I would like the game if it weren't an online game only. For that reason I refuse to buy it among others. Online gaming should be optional to the gamer and not forced because we all have diff. preferences, not to mention you have to pay top dollar for
a new release game then pay for another service just to play it is B.S. and a money scam. Not intended to be for the gamer at all, but to fatten the creators pockets.

Haha, yeah, people still do. The so-called "world championship" that's been going on lately is proof of that (even though it's generally the same groups every single year).

So, after weeks of playing TF, I still apparently have not seen all of the maps as I just played the Rise map for the 1st time today (which I liked by the way). This, however, is 1 of the reasons why I'm upset with how TF is set up - because I can't make
my own private matches, I can't explore the maps to my heart's content in order to learn the ins and outs of each one. I'm basically forced to learn as I go, which means I'm going to suffer through a lot of pain and loss, which will effect my stats negatively
(not that I really care about them, but I felt it was worth mentioning). The only good news regarding this is that everyone else is in the same boat.
