Titanfall: did it live up to the hype??

As for different titans, they made claims about how difficult it is to balance them. Thats why I was hoping there would be cosmetic differences. Only other thing I can think of to add different titans would be to mix and match body's with core abilities,
aka a strider size and speed with damage core, atlas with shield core, etc... Not sure how difficult that would be to balance, but it would be an easy way to add in more titans.

 

The game got old real quick.....

 

I'll play it until Wolfenstein arrives, or Sniper V3, then it's getting traded in.

 

I can see elements in Titanfall that stem from Call Of Duty, but I do not get the comparison with Battlefield ().

 

So, after weeks of playing TF, I still apparently have not seen all of the maps as I just played the Rise map for the 1st time today (which I liked by the way). This, however, is 1 of the reasons why I'm upset with how TF is set up - because I can't make
my own private matches, I can't explore the maps to my heart's content in order to learn the ins and outs of each one. I'm basically forced to learn as I go, which means I'm going to suffer through a lot of pain and loss, which will effect my stats negatively
(not that I really care about them, but I felt it was worth mentioning). The only good news regarding this is that everyone else is in the same boat.

I'm still really enjoying this and can't tear myself away despite all the other great games I have for the ONE.

 

I love this game right now I prefer it over call of duty

Haha, yeah, people still do. The so-called "world championship" that's been going on lately is proof of that (even though it's generally the same groups every single year).

 

Hey I'm far from bagging the game as it is really good fun. Just not the game changer I was hoping for. Moving up a generation has made it somewhat interesting again as I have to go through and unlock everything bar the Burn Cards again.

I did notice I got a little badge on my HUD while I was playing yesterday saying "Most Wanted" which I guess is linked to my kill streak (17-2). That is pretty cool and never noticed it before.

So yeah I can see why people would absolutely love it and I really wish I was one of the people!!! Just doesn't seem to be happening for me

 

All I know is that the idea that if you're caught cheating you will be able to keep playing...but with other "banned" banned cheaters only....is friggin' genius.

Can't wait for all the cheaters to cry about how their cheat isn't as good as some others with top dollar cheats.

I would like the game if it weren't an online game only. For that reason I refuse to buy it among others. Online gaming should be optional to the gamer and not forced because we all have diff. preferences, not to mention you have to pay top dollar for
a new release game then pay for another service just to play it is B.S. and a money scam. Not intended to be for the gamer at all, but to fatten the creators pockets.

 

Well in all fairness it was never advertised as being anything other than an online only game. Don't like online only? Don't buy it. This game was designed for fans of online MP games. The same people that complain about BF3/4 having a campaign haha

 

I bought Titanfall with the expectation of no offline play, and it being a potential C.O.D. killer. It hasn't disappointed me. I would rank it on par with Modern Warfare 1&2 and Black Ops 2 and being "my" favorite F.P.S. online shooters.
