Titanfall Bundle leaves early adopters wallets hurting.. HELP!

Maybe its just the young kids or whiny people but its pretty much common knowledge that these bundles pop up after initial sales start slowing down. They use it to get anyone who was on the fence about a purchase. Early adopters of new electronics, especially
game consoles, should know that things like this happen. You, just like everyone else, had the choice to buy early or wait and you made your decision. As far as microsoft saying EA/Respawn made them release a bundle, thats laughable. More likely is whoever
said that has no idea what they are talking about.

 

If the console costs $500 and includes a $60 game then all standard consoles are now only worth $440 because no one is going to buy one for $500 now without a game. So my console had been devalued by $60 plus I have to pay $60 for the game. I have taken
a $120 loss.. $110 was just for the sake of the argument and a lower estimate. Understand? No one on this board can truthfully say that the console has lived up to microsofts advertising claim that it is an all-in-one device. I am not made of money and this
decision less than 4 months after release basically shows they milked us loyal fans wallets before truly releasing a worthy UPDATED gaming device with games worth playing. Thanks for all the replies..

 

While I can (to a small extent) your frustration with the new bundles being recently released and announced (Forza bundle), your logic where you come up with $110-$120 "loss" is at best flawed. You can't have it both ways, stating the "devaluation" of the
console by $60 for including a game THEN stating a further loss because you have to buy the game that was included as well. It is one or the other as they are THE SAME argument. Once you pay for TitanFall, you have the equivalent of the bundle for $60 - not
the $120 you are claiming.

Bundles happen all the time and do NOT devalue the console itself, rather they are VALUE ADDED options used to further drive new sales. Would I like something as a reward for being an early adopter? Sure, but I do not feel entitled to it as I knew what I
was purchasing at the time and got what I paid for (as you did as well). If anything I was more upset that Europe got a free game at launch (even if it was just FIFA) while the US (Microsoft's most loyal region) got diddly squat. That is the unfortunate reality
of being the first on the block to have the new consoles - better deals are always coming down the road.

 

When the xbox one released it had day one bundles which included FIFA14 and Forza Bundles which included Forza5, now that titanfall is out titanfall is being bundled with the xbox one.

Titanfall could not be bundled at launch because it was not finished yet.

TLDR; Bundles change all the time, stop having a false sense of entitlement

 

i to feel robbed because i only got my XB1 in January and had to pay extra for a game. Worst part is got myself in debt to buy it £430.00 + £55.00. That might not sound like a lot to a company that makes billions in profit but it is to us small timers. Ive
been a loyal customer for years and have encouraged most of my friends to get a XBox .I understand a small price drop but not this soon plus a free game. I feel like ive been shafted in a big way .ill be honest with you if this XB1 breaks i will probably buy
a ps4 and i thought id never say that

I agree with LORDnICON. Being an Xbox loyal since the early white Xbox 360, I have enjoyed Xbox over the years. But with the recent bundle of Titanfall included for free for the same price, it DOES make me feel like my loyalty is nothing more than just another
sale. And frankly, I don't understand all the folks mentioning about being an "early adopter" and expect that Microsoft will do bundles. Of course bundles will come out. But to do a bundle on your expected "killer app", that just devalues both the machine
and the game. Don't get me wrong, I bought both the unit and the game. Titanfall is why I bought the XBone. But I do feel ripped off as well being an early supporter, not adopter, and now have to pay extra money for a game that is technically for free.

I think if Microsoft can offer an item worth $60 (equal the price of the game), then that's like getting Titanfall for free. That will be a fair offer. C'mon Microsoft, show the loyals that you DO appreciate our support over the years!

 

I purchased an Xbox one and preordered titanfall on Feb 7th.

I definitely feel cheated out of $60... I tried chatting with support and they disconnect me each time.

One free $60 game download of our choice would be fair for the loyal microsoft fans that showed faith in Microsoft before they started aggressively bundling their consoles.

 

A bit silly complaining that the price has come down. I bought my One early because I wanted it early. I bought it in full recognition of the fact that in time it will be cheaper. We paid premium price to get access to the console straight away, certainly
I my case because I didn't want to wait for a more sensible time to buy it. That was my decision and my prerogative. This time next year the console will almost certainly be substantially cheaper still. Will I regret not waiting? ... of course not

 

i just chatted with Amazon a few minutes ago because i made my purchase less than a month ago i'm getting a refund and sending my xbox one back for the titan fall bundle.

 

Watching TV, movies, or playing video games.. I can honestly say that I use my xbox everyday. I have no regrets being an earlier adopter. I have enjoyed the console from day one. So, I had to pay for Titanfall. Others who waited didn't. I also had the
console 4 months longer than they did. Either way, I don't mind paying the $60. Great game. Even bought the controller for it.

 

Now they are selling the ttianfall bundle for the last weekfor $450 at walmart and bestbuy. So now there is no denying my logic.. Early adopters have been completely forgotten and *** over by microsoft... I still cannot add friends in gameplay without the
xbox locking up and the numerous bad experiences have led to me decide sell mine. I no longer want to support microsoft. Now i can only get around $350 for my used console if I can even find a buyer.. So far this "next-gen" is a JOKE. No processing power,
HORRIBLE UI, Worthless tv pass through, bad customer support. I am beginning to think this whole gen is a scam to sell obsolete AMD processors that no one would have bought if they didn't put it into the one and ps4. Complete waste of money. STICK WITH 360
IF YOU ARE READING THIS!! although by then the one will probably have dropped again in price.
