Titanfall Bundle leaves early adopters wallets hurting.. HELP!

With this new Titanfall Xbox One bundle Microsoft has essentially devalued my standard console by over $50 and now I have to pay another $60 for Titanfall!! I bought the Xbox One just after release and was not happy with the lack of party chat, lack of dolbly
digital surround sound, horrible User Interface, no HBOGo of Xfinity apps, No free games-with-gold, worthless hdmi pass-through w/ no DVR or ON-Demand support, and lack of good games. But I made due will all that because Ttianfall was coming and that is the
reason I bought the console. Now less than 4 month after release you slash the price and throw in Titanfall?!?! You have effectively cost me and every single person that bought it early for Titanfall over $110!!!! This is on top of all the crap and updates
we have gone through with this system. I know Sony is dominating you and you are desperate to sell more consoles, but alienating your already 3.5 million strong user base was a BAD IDEA. YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT!! Offer early adopters the game of xbox live
games for free.. just give us SOMETHING for this rip-off. I am very disappointed now and feel that Xbox One was the wrong (and more expensive) choice. On PS4 I already have over 10 free games and no problems like I mentioned earlier, and they are not *** over
early adopters like this. If you would have told us about this bundle at launch I would have waited to buy the console because the only reason I bought it early was Titanfall anyways. Please compensate me and the over 3.5 MILLION loyal xboxers for this decision

New Features... Come on!!

At first it's about stability not added features, except if they help get ready for a major release like Titanfall. The PS4 hasn't added anything, people need to relax or not be early adopters.

 

Xbox One price drop

One o' them headset adapters would be a nice thank you to us early adopters ....hint, hint!

(A copy of titanfall would be even better!)

 

So I went to chat with support and Sveta tells me that this is EA and Respawns fault because they made Microsoft do this bundle. I was not happy or satisfied with this answer so she told me they would call me to talk about the issue in person. I get the
call and it plays a message saying "this a call from microsoft" then nothing... no one there or listening, so I hang up. about 10 minutes later I get another with the same message followed by a "press ! to speak with someone. I press one and chat with a guy
for about 10 minutes, he says there is nothing he can do.. I insist. Finally he offers me a mere 3 months of xbox live for my troubles. I accept because at this point I am getting tired of talking. I am not satisfied with 3-months of xbox live. seeing as how
I buy 12 months for 39.99 this is only a $10 value on a $110 issue.

MICROSOFT please offer AT LEAST this same deal to all early adopters to show us that we were not already forgottten about. We are the reason you are even still in this console war and this bundle really alienates us from you. If you give all early adopters
3 months xbox live or offer me more compensation than this small amount I will finally shut up. Until then I will continue to complain and tell anyone who will listen how microsoft not only released an unfinished beta console, but then *** over 3.5 million
people out of $110 value right before the only good thing for the console comes out. 3 months live is not enough unless EVERYONE GETS IT. Give all of us something, a gesture of good faith for your loyal fans.

 

Maybe I am just bad at math, but where are you getting the $110 from? Is the console bundle on sale somewhere? As I see it currently right now the bundle still costs $500, and just includes titanfall as an extra bonus($560 value for the console and game).

At release the console cost $500, not sure where you are getting the other $50 savings factored in. In any case, I don't feel ripped off by Microsoft, just because they made a console/game bundle available without hiking the price up.

Honestly you should be glad they offered you 3 months of live, because they honestly didn't owe you anything. Nor do they owe anything to anyone(including me) who bought the console before this bundle was made available.

 

With everything you mention in that first post, I have absolutely no idea why you bought an X1...unless it was just to whine. Are you also *** off with Sony b/c the PS4 launched with Knack for free in Japan? Game consoles have come with bundles of varying
varieties for years...why does this one suddenly *** you off?

 

I too was wondering where this additional $50 came from as only the UK bundles have seen a $50 price drop. But on a side note, Europe got a free pack-in of FIFA at launch as well so this argument/complaint is not so well founded for those regions.

 

I was wondering how they are able to get 12 months of Live for 39.99 when I am paying 59.99?

 

Xbox live 12 month cards were on sale recently, at least, they were at Best Buy. I picked one of them up when they were on sale for my niece, since she wanted live to play minecraft with her friends. Kids these days.

 

@Vegito - thank you for the information. I always thought 59.99 was a very reasonable price - well better than the monthly charge.

 

So this bundle comes with a free game and a one month xbox live subscription, all for 499. I would have certainly waited to buy my xbox one if I had known this.

 

While it is a shame that some folks may of bought an xbox one prior to this, and would of liked to have taken advantage of this. Heck even I would of liked to have had Titanfall for free, free stuff is cool.

The best case scenario I can think of for some people is if you bought from a retailer that has a price match guarantee, that also extends to future sales. You might be able to haggle your way into that, but it is still doubtful.

We as consumers are not entitled to savings that are made available after our purchases. I also believe this bundle was advertised for at least a month prior to now.

 

Prices change, it's just a fact. There's no point in getting upset about it. I bought my Xbox shortly after launch and overall I'm pretty happy about it. I actually think this Titanfall bundle is a good idea and I'm happy that Microsoft is offering it.
I want more people to buy Xbox Ones. I want the Xbox One to be a success. I have both of these new consoles and I want both of them to be successful.

The fact is I chose to trade $500 for an Xbox back in December, whether the price goes up or goes down in the future really doesn't affect me. My purchase is done and I'm happy. I see no reason whatsoever to say Microsoft owes me anything because they
changed the price. I'm actually glad to see the bundle.

 

Microsoft does bundles all the time. Why are people getting upset now about them?
