Titanfall - Another post

I agree that making a higher player count does not increase the game, but as OP asked for Opinion we simply all Gave ours.

Mine and some others think its a bit spread out and the bots do not fill that void.

Just know i do respect your opinion to keep it at 6v6 Rippen, i just feel it could be more.

And please do not get me too wrong, I'm excited for Evolve which will be 4v4

 

Evolve will be awesome cannot wait for that !! But i thought evolve would be 4v1?

 

If i am not mistaken it is 4v4 but the "Bad Guys" team is 1 big creation making it almost seem like 4v1 but Four players will work together to evovle the beast or alien or what ever it is! "i will read the article in game informer if you would like it is
on my coffee table"

 

Thanks for that, and i hope im not coming across as ignorant.This thread is actually providing a decent discussion on this. Ive just been finding that 6 v 6 Has provided not stop action in the modes i play most which is HP and Cap flag. Ill conceed on Attrition
and Pilot hunt that it can feel empty but i avoid those for their lack of objective gameplay.

 

@rippenharra your definitely not coming off as ignorant. I am also enjoying this discussion. Now that you mentioned that i have not even touched capture the flag im going to try that after class tomorrow i have been playing attrition i dont know why i limit
myself to just that mode haha im going to try it all tomorrow.

Not saying you will but you may think a bit differently if you forget attrition mode and invest in the others for a bit.

@rippenharra i think your right. Capture the flag might change everything for me.. I think its because in attrition im hunting for pilots like you said their is no objective making it feel empty.

Capture the flag shall be fun

I personally don't mind the player count, at least when you're on foot. When it comes to the Titans, I don't like seeing 4 Titans ganging up on 1 enemy Titan if I'm the 1 on the receiving end.

 

@SMG, i did in fact read the article wrong it is a 1 player shooter 5-player online.

It will be 4 space colonizing hunters vs one player controlling an continuously evolving Monster.

Sorry for the mis read i myself am still really excited for a 5 player game which just solidifies that i am not always for more players too. Just not in Tfall. My own Opinion thats all.

What is the coolest Titan Drop Kill you guys have had?

Mine total accident but is archived in a stream i was doing, yet to be highlighted though. :[ Guy attempts eject gets about 40 ft off ground as my Titan smashes him back into his dying Titan.

 

Honestly it's the funnest arena type shooter I've played since UT2004 Onslaught. Strikes a really good balance of quick and frantic action and while still requiring finesse and skill with some style thrown in.

The controls for player movement are really well done coupled with the excellent map design make it a joy just getting around the maps. Maps also have a really good layout mixing Titan routes along with intricate Pilot routes which give most levels a unique
style of play to them while keeping the aesthetics . Something that is really hard to do. It's a real joy to get better and better at traversing the maps as Pilots and learning to use the levels to your advantage when your in the Titan.

The amount of weapons and abilities is I think just the right. The abilities are well balanced against each other and will keep your switching between them. Plus the burn cards add some extra what might be considered overpowered abilities to players, but
being only to take three into a round and lasting only one life keeps things in check and if used right let you really take a certain strategy to it's peak. Basically keeps things interesting.

The six vs six player cap feels right coupled with the AI fodder which helps keep the pace of the game going. If you enjoyed playing a lot of Halo or COD this will keep your entertained for the price. Some could say it gets repetitive, but it's nice change
from the COD and Halo which are repetitive when you get down to it especially after all of the titles in those franchises.

 

Maybe look at the challenges you have to do to reach next gen

Example to reach level 6 next gen you need to kill 50 pilots who eject from there titan

easy not a chance i have played 18 hrs and am gen 2 level 30 and i have not yet had one pilot kill from titan

 

Maybe *** shooting is not your thing Browny?
