Titanfall 59.99 Seriously??

Enjoy the game but yeah this is half a game it's multiplayer. Yes I'll give it the fact it's fun. Brainless fun is a better way to describe it, however without any single player functionalities this game needs a price cut especially since the "campaign"
is multiplayer. I really couldn't even follow the story I was in the middle of a huge battle and suddenly they wanna put the story in the background where I can't really pay attention to it. Sad part being that this game could have had one of the best campaigns
ever with the history of combat between IMS and Militia or the battle for power, but sadly I was left feeling like it was just another attrition/hardpoint domination match in classic multiplayer

 

So if a fraction of people get the season pass who exactly will they play against in an online only game. The customer base is not big enough to divide any more.

This absolutely can not be considered a next generation game or the gaming industry is really suffering. Parts of it look like MechAssault from the original xbox except MechAssault was more fun to blow everything up.

Halo 4, GTA V, Black Ops 2, Red Dead Redemption, Tombraider, are all games that are better than any next generation game out right now.

This should have been a 19.99 game and sold as an arcade game. The fact that last week you could buy a Titanfall Edition X1 with extra controller and game for 349 tells the value of the game.

We are now frustrated after buying into the Kinect Sports Rivals and knowing now that all the fun games will have to be purchased later. They advertise how cool it is to play your own avatar but that can not happen if friends just stop buy as it takes well
over an hour to set it up and complete the tutorial just for the opportunity to play your own avatar. Yes there is a quickplay after about 10 minutes but its more fun to play your own avatar.

 

Titanfall is an arcade game and is zero entertaining for non professional type gamers which is the biggest customer base. To even claim it has a story mode is crazy. If were a true valued 60 dollar game with lots of money put in to it like GTA V then there
is no way it could have been packaged with the X1 for free.

 

I had no problem ponying up my $60 (plus $25 for season pass) and I am sure a good part of the population feel the same.. about $60 and hopefully about the DLC.

I downloaded this game 3 days ago. I was hesitant to get this game, but after watching the uploaded videos on Xbox One for the past month, I must say, this game is extremely fun. It is different than COD, and I've only gone through the 1st Campaign mode
as the Militia.

 

Game devs just can't win now a days. When the same winning formula is being released every year(Cod) people complain, but when a dev finally tries something new people call it "just cod with mechs and parkour". So every shooting game with new features is
just cod with said features? That's seriously *** up. Anyway, great game, very fun and addicting. Even better in a party with friends. Recommend to anyone who wants fast pace, over the top action. Fair warning, you're gonna catch your self saying "Xbox record
that" a lot hahaha

 

If it were half as fun as everyone says there would be a shortage of xbox one consoles for sure. My guess is they sold less then a million titanfall consoles and that was a huge bargain compaired to the first edition consoles.

What they need to do is come up with a GTA6 game for next gen only or make darn sure that Halo is the game of all games. My guess is they are already planning on an identical 360 version of Halo though which would mean something has to suffer.

 

I think Titanfall is a great game and a ton of fun! I think it offers something new, plays smooth and fast, and is very addictive.

But…

There is no true “campaign”, rather just organized multiplayer, a lack of modes considering it only offers multiplayer, and no offline mode has now become the biggest negative for me.

15 maps for $60 and if I can’t get connected to a server, I can’t play at all. This in my opinion is why everyone had such a strong reaction to Microsoft’s “always online” policy.

I love xbox live, and don’t play to cancel anytime soon, but please don’t lock me out of my game if I can’t get connected.

All games should be required to offer an offline mode!

I think Titanfall is great, but I don’t plan on purchasing online only games in the future because of my experience with this game.

$60 is a little steep not to have a survival/firefight/time attack mode I can play offline by my self or with a friend with bots.

I think the cloud is a great feature, but I don’t want to pay $60 for a subscription, and then another $60 for a game that’s essentially another subscription. When the Titanfall servers get shut down… will I ever be able to play this game again????
