Titanfall 2, on the "competition"?

I accidentally made a similar thread like a DUD, MS will screw-up BIG TIME if a sequel appears on PS4...

Here's 2 cents for all its worth...

"So the PS4 supports 1080p on its games, I hear BF4 looks and plays better on the PS4...GHOSTS runs at 1080p vs the XONE 720p. The PS4 has more DDR RAM, and is already outselling the XONE by over a million units.

All these things considered the hardware is very similar, but unfortunately the PS4 is already off to the lead. The $100 price difference and the Kinects apparent ineptitude is really making the XONE out to be the inferior console.

SO...what's going to draw the line in the sand? THE GAMES...and the name of the game is EXCLUSIVES. To be honest I wished Ghosts on my XONE looked better than the PS4 version but it doesn't. I want to believe that BF4 is better on the XONE but I've been
told and seen comparisons, it's touted as looking and playing better on the PS4.

I owned a 360 in the last console generation and I enjoyed my Halo and Gears of War Exclusives BUT as much as it shames me to say. PS3 had better exclusives and WAY more variety.

I mean God of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, I still consider Uncharted 2 the best game I've ever seen. These games are going to reappear on the PS4 and it's only going to be a matter of time. What EXCLUSIVE do we have to look forward to? Halo and...what
else???

Where's Gears of War? Halo is going to take an eternity to be released...if PS4 is already running multi-platform launch titles better on their console. Could you imagine how much better their next generation PS4 multi-platform games will run as developers
get more accustomed to working with the hardware?

I read an article that stated that developers are already saying the PS4 is easier to develop for, whereas the 360 was considered easier to develop for than the PS3. Which probably helped the 360 eke-out the better running multi-platform titles. I mean
has anyone ever heard how bad Skyrim ran on the PS3? But now the shoe is on the other foot and we XONE owners might be the ones with the "inferior" ports.

WHICH brings me to my point Titanfall IS the next big thing, COD is getting stale and I've played every iteration since MW2 which is IMO the best COD to date. And who made that game, the better half of InfinityWard...

...RESPAWN...THE CREATORS OF TITANFALL, this game is the future...COD is the same game every year with new guns and maps, Halo has long been dethroned as the king of multiplayer battle mode, Battlefield is still taking a backseat to COD, Destiny will be
on every platform and probably STILL run better on PS4.

SO this is your chance Microsoft lock down the next great FPS since Gears of War is AWOL as of yet, and Halo 5 is miles down the road. Don't just spend this first year waiting for the great exclusives to come, dig into your deep pockets and make a deal
with RESPAWN and lockdown at least 3 sequels before PS4 owners ever see the light of day!

FORZA 5 is already the best driving simulator out, you should lockdown TITANFALL AS AN XONE EXCLUSIVE before SONY snatches a great exclusive and shows us yet again WHY THEIR CONSOLE RUNS GAMES BETTER!?!?!?"

 

I just copied and pasted that from my "DUD" thread, but I just read this entire thread and am pleased to here of these Azure Servers(I need to read more about them), I hope they're as important as previous posters have advocated in keeping TF EXCLUSIVE!

Simply put, if this game appears on PS4 in any iteration?

Microsoft, do not own either the Dev or the Pub. And with what EA said about not making exclusives for a long time for any platform. It will not happen. Sorry

I think Microsoft sold them a bit short really, EA were expecting the console to be Low Cost upon release, and with the way the last system sold. EA had every right to be looking at teaming up with MS. But MS went ahead and included the Kinect and that ramped
the price up, and then started making their policies, and again that knocked a lot of people off.

If they had just released a console without Kinect and stuck with the old way. I am sure they would have sold twice as many as they have. But that's speculation.

In the end, it's making money, and all companies want it, and they best way to do that is multi-plat. It ensures they have money for the sequel, and so forth and so on.

 

I haven't read all of this thread but ...

I still have a hunch that if Titanfall is a huge success like a lot believe it will be, Microsoft will wave enough £$£$£ around to make sure it doesn't go anywhere else.

Anyway, exclusives etc don't worry me, I say the more that can play it the better but I'm just concentrating on the first title ( few days to wait ) Titanfall 2 is way off yet.

 

M$ "bought" the "rights" to the "Titanfall" name to make it "exclusive". Titanfall "2" or whatever may come next, will definately be sold on every platform. Or thats what I would do if I was Respawn. Its common sense really. M$ hasnt purchased the "2" in
Titanfall 2 or whatever other name they use. I would say it a safe bet that itll be on every platform next time around. We will see next year or so.

 

Several of the older posts on this thread mentioned the importance of MS Azure Servers, some even stated that the game is incapable of being run on a PS4.

Are any of these comments substantiated? If so, this could mean good news for keeping this title and it's inevitable sequels...XONE ONLY territory.

TO BE HONEST...if I owned a PS4 and new that I COULD NEVER PLAY TITANFALL I'd want an XONE. I just can't seem to get the idea of MS letting this slip through their hands be a HUGE fumble.

I would think that IF ANY company had deep enough pockets to keep this thing EXCLUSIVE MS would(I hope)?

 

Vile, None of the comments about it not being possible on the PS4 are substantiated. It is one of the members on here, who shall not be named, spouting rubbish. And i have had this conversation with them before.

They linked to a Facebook page, that is run by neither Respawn or EA, and has about 300 likes because it uses the name Titanfall.

In actual Fact, Respawn went to both Sony and MS before full production with the idea. And Microsoft offered them the best deal. With Free servers. And this is the speculation part, With a lot of money towards development.

EA, who are the publisher on this game, provide their own servers for every other game they own, so they would do the same here, Just like BF4, Fifa, Etc.

Personally, you may love Titanfall so much that you want it kept on the one system. But i am sure many others don't for various reasons. But MP games are not for me, I am a SP man myself, coming from the Atari 2600 days. SP was all i had for a couple of
decades. And i feel a good yarn and griping gameplay mean more to me than run and shoot against other people.

 

Hope is stays on Xbox but end of the day if they decide to release it on ps4 it will shut up the cry babies who cant play it

 

What I find curious is that many PS4 owners bash the brains out of the game, saying how Cod-like it is, how stupid it is, how unoriginal- yet suggest the sequel is on their console, and it's "it's not exclusive, we'll get a better version on PS4".

Wait, what happened to it being unoriginal, stupid, and Cod-like?

 

microsoft will only catch up when they sell the console without kinect which they definitely will, hence cheaper price and when they and they have ironed out all the problems, this console will start to shine just like my beloved 360
