Tired of rebooting my XB1 cuz MS won't fix the chat

In what decade does MS plan on fixing the contoller/headset adapter/chat issue??

I am getting quite tired of having to reboot my XB1 console pretty much every other time I decide to plug in a headset so I can chat in a game. For what reason is the alternate MAC address tied to the damn chat??

All I see are posts about this problem wiith the solution being - clear your Alt MAC address & reboot. That's not a solution, that's a cop-out. This has gone on long enough.. It doesn't matter if I use the oriignal chat headset, the MS XB1 headset, or
a pair of Turtle Beach ones. There is nothing fun, entertaining, or remotely enjoyable about having to leave a game lobby during a session, because you can't seem to get this fixed. For what we pay for the hardware and the service, this is absolutely unacceptable.

It's been over 4 months since this started, and it's about time you got it fixed. So much for the concept of Customer SUPPORT.

Add account to preview - per MS support

After a lengthy chat with MS support, attempting to fix sign in issues on my XB1, the support person asked me to post here and request that I be added to the preview.

I had the same issue most days. With the latest update preview though the issue seems to have gone away. You should get this update within the next couple of weeks.

However, I found that simply resetting the controller by holding the Xbox button on it for about 5 seconds, then turning it back on with the headset/adapter plugged in, it worked ok.

i chatted with a MS lady last night and she made it seem like my only option was to ship it back to MS to get it fixed. do you guys think gamestop will replace my xb1 if i purchased it there about 2 months ago?

This is getting silly. Have XB One in DMZ, same with my friends, still no party chat. This shouldn't be new Microsoft... Doesn't matter how many times I reboot or how I join a party / start a party I cannot turn Party Chat on. Fix it MS!!

So this is the issue with me and 2 other friends that have XB1.

The party chat is not working. Ever. When we all turn party chat on it say's "we cannot turn party chat on. try later". This message happens for all of us.

It is not my internet- my NAT is open. And guess what, party chat is fine for Xbox 360. Also it is not my mic- cause VOIP works for COD ghosts and sometimes works for BF4- this is a dice/EA issue not MS tho. So I do not have a defective mic or anything lacking
on my end.

This is solely on XBL for Xbox one. And it's a travesty. I don't care about all the stupid apps that the XB1 can do. Or the stupid NFL crap, or the kinect stuff.

I don't care. I want to play games with my friends and chat it up.

This is what Xbox has been known for from Day 1.... A console with great Multiplayer services.

Halo CE was revolutionary for consoles and LAN parties with friends.

Halo 2, CS, BF moderncombat, all of these amazing tittles had party chat an voice chat in games and stuff. Hell PS2 didn't get voice chat tell like 2004 or something, like 6 years into it's cycle...

This is what XBL is all about. This is what seperated XBL from PSN last gen. The reliability, the ease of use, the quality. And..... The party chat!!!

How do you screw this up MS??

Who the heck made Party chat for XB1. Those people need to be fired. They failed and it's turning people off the brand.

I'll give MS till my Christmass bonus in two weeks. If this is not fixed.

My XB1 will just set there tell Halo 5 comes out. I won't put any money into it. I'll let my live account expire and then re-up when Halo 5 comes out. MS you are so lucky you have Halo. So, so, so lucky. If it were multiplatform, I'd trade this thing in.

Don't go full scrub on this MS. This is a big issue. Needs to be fixed.
