Tired of having to set up multiple email accounts for xbox live

Microsoft,

I already have a dedicated email set up for my xbox live account, I am sick and tired of having to set up multiple accounts just to access my xbox live. If you want to add the OPTION to add another one then by all means do so but it is getting beyond ridiculous
to keep multiple email accounts to use this service. It is [MOD REMOVED] ANNOYING, KNOCK IT OFF!!

I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

Setting up accounts for family members

If i sign him up on a guest account will he need an email to set it up. Also, can anyone in my family walk in and turn it on with the xbox on comand even if i am the only account in the system or does it have to be me?Click to expand...

No email needed for a guest account, it works same as it did on 360. Anyone can use voice commands regardless of having an account.

Hey there, are you referring to the secondary email you add to your account as a security proof? Have you done this through the PC or console because if it's still asking for you to add an email there's a good chance it hasn't worked properly.

You misunderstand - I am tired of being forced to do it. I don't like having to maintain multiple email accounts or being asked for my phone number just to use my XBOX live account.

The issue is that XBOX may want to consider adding a feature to allow people who played old consoles and then went online to sign up and now we have secondary console accounts not linked to the Live account. We ought to be able to merge these consol accounts
into master XBOX live account. It would be easily done as this is only a Database issue on the games played and rewards to be merged... I'm sure that there are many out there like me who would love this. Please consider this as a very much needed update for
us old school gamers.

Hi it appears that it's not picking up your Microsoft account have you tired going to windows settings>Accounts>Email & app Accounts, then in accounts used by other apps, then remove it and log back into the store and Xbox app.

The one way you can change the Live ID ‘profile’ is by preforming a factory reset on the device and setting up the phone using a different Live ID. Windows Phone was not designed to switch between Live ID ‘profiles’ the same way you would login to different
profiles on the Xbox. You are able to add additional email accounts to the phone once it’s set up (which may also be a Live ID), but only for the purposes of expanding email capability, adding contacts, importing calendar information, etc.

Are you concerned with accessing multiple Live accounts on a single phone, say if you have a Xbox gamertag on one Live ID, all of your email information on a separate Hotmail account, and a Zune pass on a third ID? If so, please take a look at the Windows
