I fully agree with you.

I had to sell Diablo 3 because the online was ruined and Im not even gettin reaper of souls.

Cant go online on Borderlands 2 or you will instantly be joined by hackers and modders ruining your game...

Fifa Ultimate Team is a joke when the top 10 all have hacked teams or modded coins.

Just to name a few, I've sold a lot of games where the online was ruined by hackers and modders. If they want online to be a major point of next gen they already failed, stop the cheating or online gaming soon will be dead.

I don't like it either. Halo 2 was the worst. It's just part of Xbox now I guess. It does get annoying with the lag switching..god I hate lag switching.

I love when people put lag on the same tier as cheating and modding, especially when it's in one of the most stereotypical rants I've ever seen.

Lag is not a cheat unless it's through deliberate network manipulation, and most of the time it isn't. It's just idiots like the OP spouting off about anything they can.

Don't get me wrong, I do like a bit of MP from time to time, but the general amount of idiots out there ruining it makes me appreciate the value of SP just that little bit more.

Everyone can blame MS all they want for the modders on any game but what it really comes down to is why is the Game Developer, the people who are actually in control of the game code and ultimately responsible, unwilling to add
measures to prevent such actions? You need to direct your ultimatums to them, not to MS. MS does take action against the modders when they catch them but unfortunately for every one they take down three more pop up. It takes time to investigate each complaint
and take action against them. Some enforcement action isn't instant like people want to believe. MS has to be 100% certain before they ban an account/console from their service.

It is really the developers job to keep the game patched. The game patches used to cost the developer a fair bit to implement but gameplay patches are now free for developers on Xbox 360. It would be nice if the dev's took advantage and applied patches to
the old games. Only just to keep some of the whiners at bay for a bit.

Hacking seems to have been a big problem in the Tomb Raider reboot, as well as organized gang team killing/stalking to sabotage matches. It makes it hell for newbies and has gotten way out of control now.
