Tired of Hacker,laggers,modders,glitchers and cheats.

I think it's safe to say everyone is tired of MW3,Ghost and other games that hackers,modders,laggers and cheats play with us when we are trying to enjoy a game with out being shot by an invisible ghost or a lag switcher that glitches us so he can get
the kill and ruin our KD ratio because he would rather cheat then play fair in the game he probably sucks at. We spend our hard earn $60 for a gold membership to play with friends online and b.s. with each other while trying to enjoy a game. BUT when these
type of players get on and brag about how good they are and how great their KD is, tis that they had to cheat to get it and ruin the fun other players that are trying to have fun. Xbox needs to get off their Corporate butt and fix this issue. I have personally
given up on playing MW3 nor will I purchase any more games until Xbox fixes this issue and if not then they should refund my entire gold live membership from the begining. This NEEDS to END NOW... We the faithful players DEMAND it be fixed.

It will never stop as long as people continue to buy the next game in the series.

Call of duty has been modded since cod 4,yet all the kids continue to line up to buy the next one on release day.

That's a problem of the community, not a particular platform. Sad to see that, when people are given a choice to be nice or be a jerk, most choose to be a jerk. And that won't go away - this is human behavior that needs to change.

But most parents are content with leaving their children be babysitted by video game consoles and, in most cases, violent video games.

 

I agree, however the "laggers" are probably not intentionally trying to cheat. Correct me if I'm wrong; I've never played a COD/MW title game.

 

Everything gets modded. We just need to live with the fact that there's going to be online games hacked like crazy. Many of these hackers/cheaters will be banned, but not all of them. Nothing is perfect.

 

Seriously if playing against other gamers that are cheating has upset you so much why not give the games a break. Personally after MW2 I just don't bother buying them any more, same game with a different skin, same gameplay same griefers and the same poorly
patched multiplayer.

Sadly, this is a common thing. Apparently MS doesn't care about policing their network despite the fact that people pay good money for access. It's pretty pathetic actually that they don't do a better job. They only things they seem to care about are the
simpler stuff like modding an avatar, gamerscore, or other minor things that don't affect anyone else in the slightest way. Apparently MS can't even take 2-3 minutes to investigate a report of obvious cheaters. It's just something you have to deal with and
when you find a modder your best bet is just to move onto the next lobby. I know I used to play GTA4 online for years until modders completely ruined it. It's pretty obvious when a guy is at the top of the leaderboard and has only played 20 games that they're
cheating and using a known "money maker" mod. I know of at least a dozen people that would report dozens of modders, only to see them right back in a game modding the next day, the next week, and even months later. That's one of MANY reasons I don't bother
paying for gold anymore. Hell, from what I saw, the PS3 actually had less modders than the 360 did.

 

Hacking seems to have been a big problem in the Tomb Raider reboot, as well as organized gang team killing/stalking to sabotage matches. It makes it hell for newbies and has gotten way out of control now.

 

It is really the developers job to keep the game patched. The game patches used to cost the developer a fair bit to implement but gameplay patches are now free for developers on Xbox 360. It would be nice if the dev's took advantage and applied patches to
the old games. Only just to keep some of the whiners at bay for a bit.

 

Everyone can blame MS all they want for the modders on any game but what it really comes down to is why is the Game Developer, the people who are actually in control of the game code and ultimately responsible, unwilling to add
measures to prevent such actions? You need to direct your ultimatums to them, not to MS. MS does take action against the modders when they catch them but unfortunately for every one they take down three more pop up. It takes time to investigate each complaint
and take action against them. Some enforcement action isn't instant like people want to believe. MS has to be 100% certain before they ban an account/console from their service.

 

Is it the developer's fault when MS makes changes to their console that allows for the mods? Is it the developers job to stop people from physically modding their console? When people pay MS to access their network and service, it's not too much to expect
them to do a decent job policing it.

I haven't seen anyone expecting instant results. When modders have been reported by a dozen others and they're still around months later, that shows MS is doing a pretty poor job of policing their network.

 

Oh the beauty of a great single player game

Don't get me wrong, I do like a bit of MP from time to time, but the general amount of idiots out there ruining it makes me appreciate the value of SP just that little bit more.
