Tired of Analog Drift, Will probably trade xbox in for ps4

Just thought I would share my experience with Microsoft's controllers. Over the past 2 weeks I have went through 3 brand new controllers. The first was dropped which resulted in a bumper being broken/not working. I figured that was my fault and maybe I
should be more careful. However as the next two suffered issues as well, I'm inclined to believe it's just Microsoft's laziness in developing durable controllers. Both the 2nd and 3rd controllers developed analog drift with the 3rd having severe drift.
Now I made sure to take care of these as they are expensive(no rage hitting/making sure not to drop/etc.) yet both of them developed analog drift in a week and a half. I had the 3rd controller for 2 days....2 DAYS before it started to have drift, so I was
fed up with the issues and I'm sure Gamestop was as well with me exchanging them, so instead of going back for a 4th controller I decided to see what the problem was. I have seen many other people having analog drift with only possible explanations, mostly
dust or dirt in the module(I tried to clean it out/blow high pressure air into it with no avail). I opened the controller(voids warranty I know, I was willing to do this to figure out why these controllers are so terrible) and ripped the analog module out
to see what is wrong. The first thing I noticed was that case of the analog module is metal while the thumbstick is plastic; the thumbstick had groove marks shaved into it by the very thin metal cage. Now I know that the plastic had to go somewhere so I
tear open the module with some plyers and what do you know, there is a bunch of small pieces of plastic from the thumbstick stuck in the bottom. I tried forever to clean it out before this with high pressure air so I know there was nothing I could do to
have gotten the plastic out. So my question is why do you make your controllers like this Microsoft? How could anyone think having a thin metal cage for a plastic thumbstick would be a good idea unless it was done on purpose to get more controller sales?
After this recent string of controller issues I'm heavily considering taking my entertainment to Sony. I have been a lifelong Microsoft fan playing xbox religiously since the first days of the original xbox, however this kind of product is really disappointing
and makes we not want to spend another dollar on an Xbox product.

Xbox One Controller Drifting Up

Both of my controllers drift. I no longer even use my xbox to watch Netflix because I can't even get it to select the correct show. One on the right analog stick and one on the left analog stick. My xbox 360 controllers never had this serious of a problem
for nearly 7 years. This is absurd. I'm not going to spend 130 dollars plus tax to get two new controllers. I will gladly return my xbox one controllers and get some cash for parts about 25 dollars each, return my xbox one, and the games I no longer play,
and get myself a PS4 rather than get two new controllers which will probably break again. Fix this Xbox

Sorry to hear your issue and I can understand the frustration, I have no answer as to why this happens or a magical fix but I did a search and for parity, found many comments with PS4 dual shock stick drift.

Unfortunately you have voided your warranty, I would have suggested sending it in for repair. You could try buying a 3 party controller, if you don't want to invest in another Xbox controller.
