Tips for getting support to actually fix a problem

Anyone have any tips on getting Xbox support to actually fix a problem? I've been dealing with shoddy support for almost 5 months now and they're very unresponsive, dismissive and haven't been attentive at solving my problem at all. I get one follow up email
every week telling me the same thing. All I'm trying to do is get my Xbox live code that I purchased applied to my account.

I've called and emailed and am met with roadblocks every time. I've requested to be forwarded up to a manager and and be issued some kind of compensation for this unexusable delay with no success.

I wish I was exaggerating on the 5 months part but I'm not. I've been unable to use my Xbox or play ESO this entire time while I wait for non existent help.

I recommend contacting Xbox Customer Support for tips on how to fix this issue. I have seen this problem before.

So when is tech support going to get off their [Mod Removed] and ACTUALLY FIX the issues that have been running rampant throughout the Xbox One game update/installation system?

I am getting tired of the "band aid" fixes that I am getting from customer support. A restart and reinstallation should not be the go to option to fix a problem. I get that it does fix the immediate problem for that person, but doing that constantly is like
taking pain medication for a broken knee. It just doesn't solve the actual problem.

I also understand that permanent fixes take time. I'm just getting tired of getting fed the same line over and over for every problem. It honestly has gotten to where I just don't call customer support anymore, since all they say is the same thing every
time. I think I may have had one person actually go further than the restart procedure, but even they had me restart and reinstall, before they even attempted to find out the problem.

In summary, A restart should be the last resort fix to an isolated problem. (isolated problem = an issue affecting one or two customers)

Thanks for the tip! I actually deleted the game and re-downloaded it from the physical copy, which fixed the problem.

You know it's actually quite difficult to contact a human. When you use the chat bot, many issues are met with: Live chat is not available for this problem.

Top tip: Select "problem with payment" and you'll get right through. Then tell them your actual problem.
