timer runs even without playing

Is there any discussion on getting a better timer for the Events ?

How can I close the events and come back later to play without the timer running the whole time ?

We need a pause button.

Not sure what your asking but most the time based things like launch of games is set to a utc time

The timer runs as long as the game is running. So if you want to make it last 2 days, after playing make sure you completely quit at the dashboard. Otherwise, the timer will keep running in the background and you'll lose the time.

If you play it in Arcade mode, players who die get a respawn timer without giving you game over.

You could always do it the old fashioned way and use a stopwatch, an egg timer, a timer on a microwave or lastly the oven timer. Simple run of the mill items around the house.

I can hear it because they create new gamtertags and before i can even see the lobby you can hear audio, so i have to listen to it for atleast 30 seconds. Usually i wouldn't say they should be banned but this person does it EVERY day, without missing a beat
and doesnt even play the game. once all the player slots fill up the game would usually start but because he sits in the lobby and doesn't leave you have to wait until the timer runs out.
