Discus and support timer keeps running! in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I started the daily tournament today. I played 9 games and it took 25 minutes and 45 seconds.     timer keeps running!


    I started the daily tournament today. I played 9 games and it took 25 minutes and 45 seconds. I left to do some things and came back to resume playing. The timer now says 3 hours 54 minutes. Shouldn’t the timer be keeping track of time played? Not entire
    time elapsed since starting. This happens constantly and is so frustrating I cannot even finish today's tournament. It’s pointless now. I see other comments here and there about this and don't know where to direct this in case it is a bug that someone
    should know about. I can't seem to connect with an actual person. The tournament is really fun but not at all lately since not all of us have the luxury of sitting for an hour + to just play this game.

    Running Times

    I marathon everyday "after work that is" and my console is fine. I have logged many many a hours already. If I knew the number exact I'm sure it would be embarrassing!

    How long does a 10 hour time trial truly last?

    The timer runs as long as the game is running. So if you want to make it last 2 days, after playing make sure you completely quit at the dashboard. Otherwise, the timer will keep running in the background and you'll lose the time.

    Apparently on the One if you put the console to sleep but have Inquisition still running in the background, the how long you've played timer keeps running. So it may not be an accurate count of how long you've played.

    Hi there,

    Sadly this seems like a known issue, you have to manually close the game otherwise the timer keeps running. Wish I had better news for you.

    You could always do it the old fashioned way and use a stopwatch, an egg timer, a timer on a microwave or lastly the oven timer. Simple run of the mill items around the house.

    Hi, did you actually get to launch the game at all ? With these EA access trials if you don't quit the game from the home screen the timer keeps running, that then uses up your allowed 10hrs trial.
