"Time to Update" problems

Over the past two weeks I've got about 4 to 5 "Time to Update" messages during online play. It kicks me out of the current game. And it's always the same size (339mb). I completely install/apply update each time. Is this many normal? And should it
just interrupt an online game?

Xbox Help Chat said it might be because I'm on the Dashboard Preview and it needs to update that much.

Any advice/news will be appreciated.

Problem with latest update. "Error"

Regular update? Preview update? game update?

Have you tried running cold restart? have you tried it more than three times? that will flag your console.

Nope, you should be getting MORE, over the past 19 days I've had 15 update, all at inconvenient times, just when you think you're not getting one today you get its time for an update I've spent more time updating the thing than actually playing it.

I think I had this problem a few nights ago, I looked up the status of Xbox live and it was under maintenance, well, certain aspects of it were. Have you tried clearing your system cache?

Unfortunately there is no way to change the update times.Your best bet would be to have the console set to instant-on or frequently check the system settings to see if you have an update waiting.
