Time played isn't recorded correctly?

Hi,

Is it possible that sometimes the system fails to record the time played with a game?

Yesterday I played a couple of hours with Mad Max and after I quit I checked the Game Hub and saw that I played 7h 11m with it.

Today I continued where I left off and played about another 3 hours. Quit the game and checked Game Hub again and noticed that it still shows 7h 11m. I would like to emphasize the fact that I QUIT the game, not just switched back to the dashboard or something, I
know that I have to quit in order the Time played tile to be updated.

But just to be sure I started the game again and I quit immediately after it loaded. I checked the Game Hub and the time went up to 7h 12m, so it recorded that 1 minute I spend in the game. But it seems that my other three hours got permanently lost.

So far I only saw this bug on Steam and it made me wonder: is it possible that it's a recurring issue and I lost data already several times making my stats inaccurate?

want to see about and select it, press down until "Compare with friends" is highlighted, press left and then down.

Also, does game time spent on Play anywhere games played on my Laptop count?

I asked this on twitter to xbox rewards about Fallout shelter and they said no.

It's hard to say why it didn't track, it's possible there was a service outage that affected the time counting, but that should affect things like Achievements. Are you playing while connected to Xbox Live or in an offline state?

Thanks for the clarification, it's difficult to say why it didn't track then. It does sound like it is tracking though, since you did see a jump in a game for a minute of play. I would say that if it happens on a consistent basis to try removing your profile
from the Xbox One console and then try to re-download it to the console to see if it helps out. That will re-sync the information from the servers to your console so that they're both on the same page.
