Time of Day Energy Use and Xbox

Hello everyone,

Kind of a mix between discussion and question here...appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you may have.

At my house, I do time of day pricing for my energy use. For those that are not familiar with that, it means that during peak energy use time (usually during daytime hours) the cost of electricity use is higher than average and off-peak hours (usually evening
and overnight) the cost is lower than normal. Plugged my Xbox One X into a smart socket to gauge energy use in the always on mode and it still used quite a bit which makes me weary about having it in that power mode all the time due to the higher cost of energy
during the day that I pay so I have it in energy saver mode. While I love the always on, instant start up, financially it makes more sense for me to not use it and deal with the slower start up, delayed updates, etc.

Anyway, my question for the community is if anyone else does time of day energy usage and if you have found a way to use always on mode on the Xbox to not drain away money during peak hours. Or if anyone that doesn't do this has any ideas.

I personally would love it if Xbox added a scheduling feature for the always on mode into the settings so I can have it go into that overnight but not during the day. That way I can have games update overnight without the extra cost of running it during
the day or the time it takes later, especially for the very large updates of games nowadays. (If anyone from Xbox is reading this, please pass along to the development team for consideration )
