  1. Time limits on all games not just individual games?

Hi - is it possible to set a time limit for a group of apps i.e. all games ? I can only see how to do this for apps individually. It works well on Apple Screen Time - because it means you can set up e.g. 1 hour for games and they can choose what games
they want to play. Having to set up allowances by individual is much more restricrtive...

Time Limits on Specific XBox Games

Thank you for responding but those are not the links I was looking for. I get to those and they are all set. The settings I am looking for actually allows me to select individual games or apps and set a time limit individually. For instance, I selected Fortnite
and set it to 2 hours. All other games were left at "maximum allowed". I got a request to extend time in my email and that link does not even work so I am stumped.

Grouping multiple games together to create a universal time limit

Hello Michael C, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

Unfortunately, Xbox doesn't have a built-in feature that allows you to set a universal time limit for multiple games at once. Parental control settings on Xbox typically allow you to set individual time limits for each game or app.

However, you may be able to achieve a similar result using external tools or features available on your Xbox. Here are a couple of options you can explore:

Family Settings: Xbox offers Family Settings, which allows you to manage and personalize the gaming experience for family members. Within Family Settings, you can set time limits for each individual account or for specific games. While it doesn't provide a universal time limit for all games, it does give you more control over managing individual accounts.

Third-party parental control apps: There are third-party parental control apps available that can provide greater control over play time limits. These apps typically offer features like scheduling, time tracking, and even the ability to set universal time limits for various games. You can search for these apps in the Xbox Store or explore the options available for your specific device.

It's worth noting that Xbox regularly updates its features and settings, so there may be changes or new options available soon.

    Best regards.

    Screen time work around

Ok thankyou i will try that. Also is there a way that you can set the time for all the apps instead of having to do it individually? Im aware that u can change the device screent time for this but it would be helpful if u could select all apps and games then deselect the ones u dont want to limit.

    Family/Individual timer settings

If they could make individual time limits available it would be great!

Why "free to start" legal but not "free with independent ads"?

First of all it's not every 5 minutes like clockwork. It's a rate. It's an average.

I agree the game should not be interrupted midstream.

It would be an individual game maker's choice. Some would choose paid licenses with try before you buy with ads. Others let you pay in the way you can afford, either time or money.

I'm not saying adding ads to a fully paid for game. I m'd limit advertising to just these options: opriionware, free samples, and designated games.
