Time frame for USB HDD update?

Hi all,

has Microsoft released a rough date for when we will be able to connect a USB HDD to the xbox one?, the 500gb internal HDD is not suitable for the task and I'm getting annoyed with having to delete games to make room, and it's not a quick task to re download
the games/updates again (not everyone has a fibre internet connection).

Two Hard Drives One Dock?

I wonder because I know the Xbox One can support 2 HDDs at the same time, but I'm assuming that is plugged in individually through the USB 3.0 ports. But I'm curious if anyone knows if I connect two HDD's through one dock will it still recognize it as two HDD's? Ya know, just to save a usb spot possibly potentially maybe

 

Playing videos off USB - Help

I've not had any issues with playing from a usb 3

0 hdd but I had frame rate issues with a pen drive

I have played mp4s but mkvs are going to be added at next update along with dlns

 

What do you have installed that youre already maxing it out? I realize there isnt actually 500 gigs but unless youre buying literally every game for the console how are you having to go as far as deleting games to fit more on? As a matter of fact based on
your user activity and games played list it doesnt even look like you own or have played an xbox one.

 

Wow, why would I ask the question if I didn't own a xbox one, and yeah I do own most of the games released so far so what?, I had too delete RYSE and BF4 to make room for thief, the DVR is turned off and all recordings deleted so that's not taking up
the space.

 

I believe the recordings are stored on the cloud, so they do not take up system space.

It is a top priority for them (www.gamezone.com/.../xbox-one-external-hard-drive-support-planned-for-future-update).

Unfortunately, you are in the minority right now, so the update isn't as important as it will be in a couple months (and probably why they haven't pushed to release it yet).
