Ticking sound navigating xbox tiles

My issue is that the fan ticks. The console is set up in a bedroom. When everything is turned off (or on standby), I hear this fast "tick, tick, tick" from the Xbox One PSU. I specifically built my PC to be as close to silent as I could make it, so I can
even hear the Xbox One PSU ticking over the sound of my PC when that's turned on. I'm not saying that the noise is "loud", because it's not. But any noise that can clearly and constantly be heard when a product is supposedly turned off is not good, especially
an annoying ticking sound.

1. Navigate to the Settings app on your Xbox One.
2. Choose the Display & sound tab
3. Select the Video output tile.
4. Open the Refresh rate drop-down menu.
5. Choose 120Hz to increase your refresh rate. (Your console should now output a 120Hz signal.)

That's the steps in the link. It doesnt give me the option for 120hz

It is! You can find it by navigating to the 'Apps' tab, click 'Browse Apps' and it should be one of the first tiles to appear, alternatively, you can search for it by selecting the 'Search Apps' tile and typing in 'Netflix'.

Hello Triman, from what we know the volume differences are fixed on the console, including these nuances serve to you to be able to distinguish what is running without sometimes looking at the screen of the TV or monitor.

In the Xbox menu under "Settings" after Audio, it only gives you the option to turn off navigation or menu sounds.

Check "Settings" "General" and then output "Audio and Volume" if the audio output option is in Stereo "Uncompressed Stereo".

If you are in DTS or Dolby you may be suppressing certain frequencies.

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. I have a ps4 and Just got an xbox one and I'm having a blast with both systems, but the xbone seems more next gen. I like the simplicity of the Ps4 in terms of navigating the UI as you can get to things quickly.
My only complaint with the xbone is that everything is an app and sometimes i don't want to snap this to the side and such as xbox music, I just want to listen to music in the background and navigate the dashboard. I'd also like to see the inclusion of live
tiles (it would break up the constant color of the main tiles) ala windows phone and the ablity to resize tiles.
