Thumbnails from game library missing

As of yesterday my xbox has been good everything is back to normal. how about you guys?

 

I just found this thread today and am currently at work so I cannot test the cache clearing, but I was still experiencing the issue last night around 10 PM PST. Probably 70% of my video apps and about that same amount of my games show the same generic "xBox
Live" image. A couple specific examples I remember are the YouTube app and Assassin's Creed IV.

Will try the cache clearing tonight, but at least for me this does not seem to be systematically fixed yet.

 

Clearing the cache on my main Hard Drive solved the issue for me today.

For those unfamiliar with how to clear your cache :

Go to System Settings > Storage > Scroll to your Hard Drive and hit "Y" > Clear Cache should be the third or fourth option down.

Should be no reason for this unless the content is no longer supported or taken down, I have had a 360 since launch and this just suddenly started to happen, that's kinda weak

I started having this problem with YouTube. I didn't think anything of it then. Then a couple of my disc games decided not to display the proper graphic on the disc insertion tile thingy. Then I discovered that some of the box art graphics in My Games weren't
showing up. Thankfully, I tried a few of these games and they seem to work fine. But, I tried clearing my cache several times and I only succeeded in fixing YouTube.

So, has anyone else had this happen with discs?

Like LavenderStar226, my problems started with the YouTube app art vanishing and seems to have "spread" to a considerable amount of other games. While everything works well enough, kids that aren't at a reading age can have a hard time figuring out which
is their game or app without the art, and it looks really sloppy.

While I can appreciate that the team has other issues to deal with, that this has gone on for 2 months now is really too much for what seems to be a really simple issue.

 

I'm also having this issue. First it started with some games showing the generic xbox live covert art with green swirl while other games' art loads up fine. Clearing the system cache may it somewhat worse as now instead of the generic cover art, I get
the missing art icon on some games but not others. Also after clearing system cache, the missing cover art is on different games than before where as it used to have cover art. I don't think its related to delisted games because the games showing missing
cover art are still being sold such as ducktales:remastered and castle crashers.

 

I have this issue as well. I have arcade and full games install on the internal and an external usb hard drive. Clearing the system cache has only partially fixed some of the cover art, not all.

 

i had the issue with dark souls 2 diablo thief etc which appears to be fixed but now the box art for about 75% of my XBLA games has disappeared and we are talking about nigh on 100 games - looks appalling (just shows a grey joypad icon) - incredibly annoying
how MS can't get something this simple right

 

Well I too am having a similar problem and it is really annoying. The fact that any users are seeing this in my opinion is unsatisfactory. We have paid for these games and the interface should not have a broken look and feel at any time in my opinion. Sure
games still work, but the interface looks so awful it makes me not even want to play on the XBox 360 anymore. I think this problem mostly effects XBox users who have large game libraries like myself. Perhaps people testing this issue should test on accounts
that have close to 400 arcade titles and over 100 Games on Demand installed on an Xbox 360 with an external HD as well as an internal 500GB HD. I am guessing the problem will show up during testing with a similar configuration.

I think the easiest solution to this problem is to change how the images get displayed on the 360. Instead of having to download the images every time the XBox 360 connects to XBox Live how about caching the images to the 360 so the console can always display
box art even without being connected to XBox Live. I think that would solve a lot of these box art issues and would save a lot of frustration on all ends.

 

Having the same prob for month, I tried many of the fixes out there but no luck. I don't understand why so many people are going though the same prob. I think if Microsoft just allow the system to save the pic we wouldn't have this mess. Like who idea was
it not to allow a gaming system to save the correct box art for said game?? I mean unless this is just a hint that they will stop supporting the 360 bit by bit? I hope not seeing how there are soo many more Xbox 360 users that Xbox one (And for good reason)
I really hope this gets fixed. Looking at it now.......is not a good look!

 

Still happening even on a new console. So I know it wasn't my other 360. This is weak
