Discus and support Thumbnails for Videos in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; How can I create thumbnails for my video collection?     Thumbnails for Videos


    How can I create thumbnails for my video collection?

    I have all my DVDs ripped to a hard drive, and we play them through the media player on the Xbox One.

    I have no idea how, but some folders have a "thumbs" database file.

    The folders with this file will show a thumbnail picture of the video. Folders without this file just show the name.

    How can I create thumbnails for all the folders? I really like that option.

    Don't be intimidated by peoples stats.

    @ Geek Yeah Tmartn has some really interesting videos. If you like them have a look at I2awInstinct's videos, they cover a lot of the things Tmartn does plus a few more. His thumbnails are pretty much the same as Tmarts, that's how I discovered him.

    Game DVR thumbnails not showing until I watch my videos at least once

    Anyone else getting this? If I record something using the game DVR and then I go into "My Clips", the clip is there but it doesn't display a thumbnail. Instead it has a default icon that's like a film strip with a question mark on it. If I click on the clip
    and watch it, then go back to My Clips, the thumbnail then shows for that video. This affects all videos recorded with the DVR feature.

    That is to be expected, once it saves it takes time to process the video. Give it long enough and it would show a thumbnail. Watching the clip speeds up the thumbnail process.

    Open the Upload app, go to My Captures, highlight the video thumbnail, and hit the menu button. Choose Delete.

    Or open the Upload app, My Captures, select Manage from the left-hand tab, and select multiple thumbnails at once, and then choose Delete.

    It happened to me, when the YouTube app attempted to load a thumbnail image for a video that had been deleted. Hopefully this will shed light on the cause.

    Since the video came out, I also have noticed Microsoft CHANGED the title of their video, on YouTube, to "dog not included". Cause EVERYONE saw the dog in the thumbnail and went gaga over the dog and nothing else.
