Thumb stick drift on elite controller

I purchased an xbox one elite console in december. I began experiencing drift in the right thumbstick on the elite controller that came with it a few months ago, It's gotten to the point where the controller is almost unuseable for some games. How do I go
about having this repaired/replaced?

Is there anything I can do to fix my right thumb stick drift on my Elite controller?

My elite controller is 1 year old and for the last month has developed drift in the right thumb stick. Can this be fixed?

Dead zone drift on Xbox One Elite controller

Hello has anyone else had problems with their xbox one Elite controller having a slight drift on the analogue stick? When I go into the controller mapping I notice that the right thumb stick has a slightly downward neutral position. Is there any way to correct
the dead zone?

Awww man, sorry to hear about your controller. Sadly the elite controllers only come with a 3 month warranty. I don't know if it would be extended with the console being part of the Elite Bundle. I'd hate to have you be down such a nice controller, even
though they kind of are cheaply made

This link should help you figure out how to get your controller serviced if your Xbox's warranty is registered on your Microsoft account:

In case of the worst happening and you not being able to get a replacement/repair you can try talking with customer support to try and work something out here:

There's quite a bit of controversy over this controller. I really hope you can get something figured out!

EDIT: I should add, depending on where you bought the console from if you still have a receipt/proof of purchase you can try to see if you can get a replacement, but the fact that the controller was part of a bundle and if you didn't get a warranty from the
seller it doesn't seem likely.

I have two controllers BOTH with drift issues. The one left thumb-stick drifts upwards and the other one has a right thumb-stick drift issue that drifts upward.

Like what the heck am I suppose to do. #SMH

You can potential fix it yourself by taking it apart and removing a plastic retainer that is not really needed from what I understand. The retainer wares and sticks causing the drift. I found this youtube video on how to fix it. It might work in your
case.
