Thrustmaster TX, thinking of taking the plunge. Any happy users on here?

So I am car obsessed in real life and I enjoyed what little I played of Forza when the console launched. I have never really gotten into driving games but I feel now is the time. I was looking forward to and fully enjoyed Dragon Age but its a little empty
on the RPG front now, they are the games I tend to enjoy most.

I sucked at Forza with the pad, especially with all the assists off and trying to use the clutch. I guess I never gave it enough time but that much concentration went on button combinations I lost my line and speed into corners. I don't play online anymore
after many years of MMO's, I think with age I have lost all my competitiveness and I just play solo.

With the new Forza on the horizon and the Fast and Furious thing I am gonna stump up for a wheel and hope I improve with more natural control lol.

The choices aren't great and it seems the TX outperforms the Mad Catz, when it works. Any happy users on here? I was thinking of ordering from Amazon as the customer service seems alright. Has anybody any idea on what warranty is offered with it? And also
if reliability has improved over time? I remember considering one at launch but there were that many horror stories I didn't bother.

    :)

Just a heads up that there was a firmware update put out for the Thrustmaster TX today.

  3. NFS Rivals - Worth buying?

I have the Thrustmaster TX. Got it way back in November. The first one I had broke but Thrustmaster was really good about getting me a replacement quickly.

I used a Fanatec CSR on Xbox 360. The Thrustmaster TX is a nice step up from the Fanatec CSR.

$99 Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel

    I can't speak to the $99 wheel.

I have the Thrustmaster TX and it's great. I can see the price point of the TX being a little high for first time buyers - but I'll tell you that it's a really great wheel. I've previously played on Logitech G25, G27 and Fanatec CSR wheels and the Thrustmaster
TX beats them all in terms of performance. The wheel is really smooth and the feedback is strong and accurate. I highly recommend the TX wheel.

Forza 5 update adds Long Beach Circuit

Maybe this release is enough motivation for you to get Xbox One, FM5 and a Thrustmaster TX? ;)

Forza 5 Backward compatibility with Xbox 360 wireless ff wheel

Actually - there was a post on the FM.net forums (forums.forzamotorsport.net/.../6307779.aspx) from a user who got his Microsoft Racing Wheel for Xbox 360 to work
with the Xbox One using the CronusMax adapter. The downside was that there was no force feedback and no rumble. I don't think it's as easy as some people think to make the last generation wheels work with the next generation consoles.

    .

If you're looking for a Xbox One wheel check out the Thrustmaster TX. From my experience (I own a TX and previously owned a Fanatec CSR wheel) and from what I've read from other users - the TX is a step up from almost every other wheel produced for the 360
(expect for the Fanatec CSR Elite which is no longer available for purchase). I've also read from a number of people that had some problems with the TX and it appears that Thrustmaster support has been very good and very responsive to getting these issues
fixed (which didn't seem to be the case with Fanatec's customer support).
