    Thrustmadter TMX Xbox One and PC


    I recently bought a Thrustmaster TMX wheel which is compatible with the xbox one and windows, due to the fact I broke my controller and figured since I played racing games I didn't need another one. When I plug in the wheel to the xbox, and plug it into
    power, it calibrated itself, then the LED next to the guide button turns white. However the console itself doesn't turn on, and when I manually turn it on the wheel is completley unresponsive. The only button that works on it is the guide button. I don't have
    a spare xbox one controller, does that have anything to do with it? Or should the wheel itself be recognized as a controller.

    Moving to the PC side, when I plug in the USB and install the driver. All the buttons work, the pedals, paddle shifters also work perfect. It's only on the xbox that no input is registered. Actually, in forza 6 I can move through the menu's with the wheel
    D-PAD and button. But if I do a test drive, the pedals and steering don't work. I hope I don't have to buy another Xbone controller just to make this wheel work.

    System update stopped error

    TMX is right...I did it and it stopped freezing on the startup thx TMX Thrustmadter TMX Xbox One and PC :)

    Steering Wheel

    The steering wheel I use is the thrust master tmx seris which works well with xbox one and pc but a little bit pricey so it's a good investment I hope it works with project scarlet.

    Hi,

    You'll find that most entry level steering wheels will either be PC and Xbox compatible, or PC and PS4 compatible.

    So as long as you get the PC/Xbox One version, you'll be fine. For example, the Logitech G920 or the Thrustmaster TMX Pro (which is what I currently use)

    And they'll plug and play for both devices. So with the Thrustmaster, for example, you just download the drivers on your PC, and then plug it in - and for the Xbox, I think the drivers are already installed. All you need to do is connect the wheel via USB
    (it also needs plugging into a power socket). I'd guess that you might need to download the drivers even using the Companion App, but it only takes a minute or two..

    For force feedback and wheel recommendations, there are cheaper options than the G920 and TMX Pro, but they're the best ones if you want something which will do everything from casual playing up to fairly serious sim racing without spending hundreds.

    Just be aware that you'll need to attach them to a desk or a stand etc - both the G920 and TMX Pro come with clamping systems built in, so you can set them up and remove them in a few minutes by doing up/undoing 1 or 2 clamps...
