Three person fireteams?

Played the beta and saw this. Has anyone heard anything different? I've been looking around and have heard it will stay that way. Pretty disappointing in my opinion. Just curious if later mission will have more people in the co-op.

I'm happy to see that when you do an execution, if your in first person it goes three person for you so you can see your character being bad@ss...I love designing my character but I play first person only so I never really see my character...Now I get too,
I'm still not planning on playing three person even though they made it a playable mode

 

You can have up to 6 people in a fireteam I believe.

 

Think 6 might just be for crucible purposes. I think the co-op portions are 3 man, thats what Bungie has been promoting(and the reason why each beta code gave 3 download keys).

 

End game Stikes are 6 person but until then, if you want 6 man content go back to titan fall... thats what me and my friends are doing. Play destiny until a 4th person gets on, then Titanfall time!

 

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. Its a fun game but I have a lot more than two other people I play with regularly so I guess I'll just have to see who is getting it.

 

Absolutely terrible idea. How do we back track from 4 player coop in Halo3 to 3 players in Destiny?

 

You can have six people fireteams in open world, but only three can go into dark zones together

 

Good thing I usually only play with two friends.

 

I never saw 6 ships in orbit tho, i did see friends join for more than three, once there were 5 green randoms running around with me, dont really know how they joined, and there were many blues runnin around too, i think you can have like 16 in one lobby

Yes, you can have 6 players in a fireteam, but only 3 players for story missions, and dark areas I think. I'm not exactly sure, but maybe it splits you up during story missions, and dark zones where you are in a sub-group of 3 players, and then after the
mission / dark zone are regrouped with the other 3, making 6 players again. I think that during some missions where there's a tougher boss, or waves of enemies it will be 6 players all together.

Note:

This is just speculation though, I'm not sure how this works, or what it will be like in the full release. I also never had 6 players in my fireteam during the beta.

Either way, I enjoyed the beta with my two friends and could imagine playing the game with only 2 other people in my fireteam. I don't really mind it. However, 6 players is ideal for Player vs Player matches and roaming around planets which is probably what
they had in mind.

If I read it correctly it says that there will be larger fire teams allowed for after story missions.

 

That article is talking raids, and it says you have to have six to do it without matchmaking, yeah right, if they want raids to be a big part of this game they bettr change that
