Three months of gold for buying three Xbox One games

Hello, there was a promo going on at the end of 2013 where if you would buy/have 3 specific games on your Xbox One you would get an email with a code that had 3 months of Xbox Live Gold within 3 weeks. I have seen that other people on this forum and others have already received their codes so I saw that they have been sent out, I was just wondering if these were just sent out in batches or if I did not receive a code? Thank you.

•Microsoft is running an offer on Xbox Live for the Xbox One, offering a three month Gold subscription for free if you purchase three games.

There’s a catch or two. The qualifying games include Crimson Dragon, Killer Instinct (both paid packs), Lococycle, Powerstar Golf and Max: the Curse of Brotherhood. So it’s not a case of just picking up Dead Rising 3 or Forza 5 or even Peggle 2 and taking
advantage of the offer. No, you unfortunately have to go for the lesser games. You’ll also need either one or two of the qualifying games listed to be eligible.

As of now, the offer applies for the UK, United States and Canada. It’s valid from December 26th to January 1st. Simply head to the third title under “Featured” on your home screen to check it out. Does it sound like a decent deal or just a way to offload

I believe a pre requisite was also too have 1-2 of those title pre promo period.

If I am not mistaken you may not qualify sorry to say

•if I am wrong an official support agent will be along shortly too look into it for you

 

From what I saw the promo allowed that to be the case, if you had one or two of the games already you only needed to buy however was needed to get to three, but if you didn't have any you could buy three games and still get the promo.

I purchased both Crimson Dragon and Killer Instinct on launch day for the Xbox One, and then purchased Max while this promo was running to get my third game.

MoCiWe, you are correct in that if you had purchased up to two of the requisite game prior to the "3 For 3 Deal" promotion dates, you only had to purchase one of the requisite games during the promotion dates to qualify. According to similar threads on this
issue, others have had some measure of success by contacting their local support teams and asking for the Games and Apps division. Keep in mind that there seems to be some confusion within Microsoft about this promotion.
