Three consoles within same household?

We currently have two Xbox One consoles on our home network, with 3 Xbox Live accounts and all the game "ownership" under one of the three account holders. One of the two consoles is designated as the home console and with most of the games we own being
digital, the game sharing feature seems to work pretty well. However, I am contemplating purchasing a third Xbox One console for the same household with the intention that all three of us would play the same game simultaneously but I can't seem to figure
out how this would work. Has anyone tried this and would be willing to share their experience? Buying multiple copies of the same game is obviously not an ideal solution, but even if I were to go that route how would this work? The owner of the digital
version woul play the digital copy on the existing console not designated as the home console, the second account holder plays the digital version on the home console and the third account would play the disc copy on the new Xbox console? It seems that Microsoft
could solve this problem by allowing game sharing between more than two consoles when all the consoles are on the same network... Any thoughts?

Does the scenario you describe allow any of the gamertags to play on either of the consoles, or does the gamertag associated with the XBL account have to stay on the home console?

The account with gold can sign into any console and still use it. They do not have to stay on the Home console.

You are right about the discs though.

Does the scenario you describe allow any of the gamertags to play on either of the consoles, or does the gamertag associated with the XBL account have to stay on the home console?

Ultimately, I'd like to have any of my family members play on any of the Xbox's.

In order to share the games across all 3 consoles, you would have to purchase the games at least 1 more time on another account or as a disc. There would be no way to share among all 3 consoles without a second copy.

You'd have to have 2 of the console set as the Home consoles for each of the accounts with the purchases, and then only those 2 accounts would be able to play on the non-Home console. Or just share a disc among the consoles, but only 1 account could play
that at a time.

Thanks, I think I got it. Seems like this would even be a problem if we are all playing completely different digital games that are all owned under a primary account since the primary account can only be signed into one console at a time. Sounds like I
will be holding off on buying a third console to see if Microsoft plans to address this at some, point.

Home Xbox is a fantastic feature to help make this happen, as Leslie mentioned. All content in your account (games, subscriptions, etc.) will be shared to both consoles. Just know that if there is any content (games, DLC, etc.) purchased on your son's account
and not yours, only he will be able to access that content on the Xbox where he is signed in.

This is the setup I have for my household and it works just fine.

1. My kids have their own accounts that are tied to my Family

2. The Xbox in the Living room is setup with all of our profiles and is setup as my Home Xbox.

3. The Xbox in the Den just has my profile on it.

When I purchase digital games I use my Account, This will allow the kids to have access to the digital library on the Home Xbox in the living room. They can play these games and use the Online features from my Xbox Live Gold account on the Home Xbox without
me needing to sign in.

I can then log into my Xbox in the Den. I can also Play my games and get online at the same time. We are also able to play the same games at the same time. We do this a lot with Star wars Battlefront and Plants Vs. Zombies Garden warfare 2. This only
works with Digital Purchases, if you buy a physical Copy then you will need to buy multiple copies of the game.

This setup only works with 2 Xboxs and is designed to be used only in the same household. We have a 3rd Xbox in the house, but there isn't a way for all 3 to be used at the same time with a Single Gold account.
