Three consoles, three XBL accounts, three game copies

I've gotten varying answers from MS Chat sessions. Looking for clarification.

Multiple gamers in my family.

Currently have two Xbox's, two XBLive accounts, and two copies of Destiny 2.

I had previously been advised that Home sharing won't work for Destiny 2 online multiplayer (hence the second XBL account and second copy of Destiny 2).

Before I buy a third console, third XBL acct, and third copy of Destiny 2, I want to know if this really is the correct way to set up three consoles for online multiplayer of Destiny 2? Is there any kind of family package or multiple console discount for such?

The intent is to have players on all three consoles, playing together in Destiny 2 multiplayer.

Threes!

Threes! is a puzzle game that has been on mobile devices for a while now but it was announced at E3 2014 to be coming to the Xbox One.

Part of what I find interesting about this game is that the trailer makes it seem like it can be played in snapped mode so you can watch something on the main part of the screen while playing a small puzzle game. The game is a small puzzle game that is played on phones (with the phone being held vertically) so it doesn't need too much room so it I think it should be fine on the smaller section. I don't know of any games that currently do this but I hope this leads to more small puzzle games doing this.

I couldn't find a thread on this so I thought I would create one (if there is sorry).

 

How many Xbox Live subscriptions do I need?

If you use all the three accounts in three different consoles you need to purchase gold memberships for all accounts in order to play online multiplayer games.

 

Follow this guide: My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

After that one console is set as your home console.

On the second console you can login with your account that has the digital license for Destiny 2 and you should be able to play it

For a third console you would need another (second!) copy.

Does the scenario you describe allow any of the gamertags to play on either of the consoles, or does the gamertag associated with the XBL account have to stay on the home console?

Ultimately, I'd like to have any of my family members play on any of the Xbox's.

 

I think perhaps part of the issue is that I have physical discs, not digital download. In that case, I cannot Game Share this version of the game...

 

The account with gold can sign into any console and still use it. They do not have to stay on the Home console.

You are right about the discs though.
