Threatened to have my IP put on twitter

I was threatened to get ddos by [Mod Removed]

Can you do something for him to stop threatening me and my friends cause every game on black ops 2 he'd follow us and lag us.

My account was also hacked about 4 months ago and my gamer score was hacked.

Watch out for gamertag [Mod Removed]. He threatened and booted my friend offline twice. He also threatened to IP ban him.

You shouldn't mention gamertags in xbox support forums that is against the service rules. To avoid future confrontations just block this user from your console and file a complaint regarding this situation.

 

I would not worry about this matter as it is hard for any person to get another persons ip address from their console due to the fact that Microsoft security is very tight. They was more than likely trying to scare you and by the sound of it, it worked.
So don't worry about this matter it wouldn't happen.

 

as he said Microsoft security is very tight but there is a small potability that he can git it so what you need to do is this first block communications with him. if he continues to follow you stay in a group so that your ip will remain hidden because he
can only view all the ips at once so it will be next to impossible to find yours. next is if you git a party invite or message from someone you do not know do not accept it nor read it. he can then find your ip just buy going into his party or replying to
his message. but he has to be a top of the line hacker to do that. so in the long run you will be safe.

 

You do not need to worry about your internet address being compromised. Your IP address is merely a public address used to access the internet. Any website that you visit, knows your IP address. For example, visit
Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test. You will notice your IP address has been recorded.

If anything, from your IP address, someone can find out who your Internet Service Provider and possibly the area you live in (Example. city and state.) However that
does not compromise your security. The worse that could possibly happen is a DOS attack on your IP address, visit

At this point, since you posted your issue a few days ago, you may have already been assigned a new IP address from your Internet service provider regardless.

If you still feel a need to have your IP address changed:

1). Note your IP address at the following website
http://www.speedtest.net

2). Unplug your internet equipment for 5-10 minutes, in hopes that you may automatically get assigned a new IP address.

3). Check back at Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test to see if your IP address has changed.

If not, you can contact your internet service provider and request for a new IP address
