Threatened by possible hacker.

Hello, this all started yesterday night. I ran into another gamer from one of my friends list, when he joined the party my friends and I were in, he instantly read off

my "and my friends" IP Address' and my home address. He then started to brag about how he can knock people off-line, as in disconnecting them. He ended up getting into a fight with one of my close friends and then I also ended up fighting with him too. He
gave me a threat that he might knock me off-line. Just now at 9:40 PM, Monday October 20th, my Xbox 360 disconnected then came back up. This might be related to this gamer.

I have his full name, gamertag and were he is from. This

GhostDragon on COD bo2 threatened to hack my router

Had a player by the name of Ghostdragon threatened to hack my router. Where do I report this?

My friend was threatened once by a hacker and he got a free Xbox and 4000 Microsoft points but I got threatened 3 times and I got nothing. Microsoft please explain this example of unfair.

 

You would need to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate. If he does disconnect you, you would need to contact your ISP as the attack would be done through them and not Live. You can read more about DoS attacks

I've already done that, yesterday night. Nothing has been done. I'm posting this to point out that this is more than just being a simple cheater and modder of games. This is happening to others, he seemed to be talking to himself before the argument started,
he was explaining how a so called "Booter" works. I know this because I witnessed it happen. He booted a player he didn't like off line. He said to me " Go look at the dudes profile now! " I did, and the profile was no longer their.

As I pointed out, this is more than just filing a complaint against a simple modder or cheater of gaming. This is harmful to me and gammers alike.

 

it takes times for reports to get investigated they get 100s of them at a time and you cannot post things like game tags or info like that.

 

Please never submit personal details like full names or locations.

 

i've experienced this problem too back when i was playing black ops 2. NEVER join their parties or lobbies. set your party and lobby to invite only. don't send them messages either. these are all ways for the hacker to obtain your IP address.

 

if you continue to have problems getting booted offline, i would contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for more assistance. from there, depending on who your ISP is, they could help track down this threat. it is illegal to attack routers/modems. unfortunately
every router must accept any interference even if its undesirable.
