Thoughts, wants, rumors and predictions at E3?

In which case, you'll be pleased to know that Eurogamer has just announced Fable Fortune, a combat card spin-off game by Flaming Fowl Studios (lol), scheduled for July 11. I know there's a bunch of leaks out there, "confirming" the likes of Ninja Gaiden,
Monster Hunter 5 and (timed) Borderlands 3, but until we get it from the horse's mouth (sorry Phil), speculation is just that.

 

My prediction, whether Sony's, or Microsofts, E3 like a drug will get everyone excited... Umm, for a short while. Then as the hype wears off, these ^ same forum goers will be here and on. twitter etc defending that which went wrong, or was just a bare faced
lie from 'day one.'

What I would like to see: Borderlands 3, with user generated content downloadable even on consoles, with backpacks, bank slots and lewt lockers numbering in the hundreds. Current gen can handle it.

Perhaps even have bank vending machines beside Ammo, Healing and Gun vending machines. That way you can put lewt found during a mission in, or withdraw lewt 'on the fly.' Oh, and all bosses etc farmable.

 

So there are a few rumors saying that the console name might be Xbox One X. If so, I don't like it. It doesn't separate itself enough from the One, but maybe they don't want it too. I just saw that calling the Nintendo WiiU didn't help it because it was
too much like the Wii.

Any guesses?

 

Personally like X Box Scorpio; maybe with a zodiac scorpion intertwined within the X.

 

At the end of the day does it really matter what a console is called?

Unless it has games that are new,original or just plain good & fun then I couldn't care less what it's called or what it can do.

 

Yes! No one wants to buy a product by its name. Just look at what happened to the Atari Jaguar. After the two years it was available, it ended up as a dental camera. Resulting in the end of an era for the venerable company.

 

Atari and its demise was coming for years before the Jaguar. A name can make or break a brand. Don't believe Ford would sell a lot of Mustangs if they changed it to "Slug", or Chevrolet would sell a lot of Corvettes if they changed it to "Midlife Crisis".
Or perhaps I'm entirely wrong and M.S. would still sell tons of Scorpio consoles by renaming it "Turd".

 

I know it doesn't matter what it's called, but I like to speculate. It's fun.

I'd like to see them stick with Scorpio, it's already well known.

 

Yes, it does. Because if it weren't for the branding we'd all be playing on generic GAME BOXES. At the end of the day does it really matter what a smartphone is called? Apple begs to differ.

 

I'm hoping to hear that the price is $399.00. I'm also hoping that Ubisoft is on Microsofts stage showing off a new Splinter Cell in 4K game! I would like to hear more about VR, and hope they do something soon with that.

I hope they show off a couple of new IPs. Phil Spenser mentioned on twitter that the conference will run longer than 90 minutes. I can't wait to see what they have to show. Scorpio day one!

 

I've read that there might be a Dying Light 2. I hope so, I love that game.

 

10pm start here in the UK. I'm looking forward to seeing scorpio and finding out the price, but would a Shenmue 1&2 hd announcement and it just might happen, well more chance now than there's ever been so i live in hope.

I would like to see some new ip's announced & recore 2, a new silent hill, condemned, brothers in arms, PGR5, New Grid, Max payne 4, Kameo 2, Stranglehold 2, New James Bond game, Follow up to murdered soul suspect, Kane & lynch 3 ( yes i like kane & Lynch

I'm expecting the forum to get a bump in post because of people complaining about the Scorpio price.

 

Yeah, already seen a few moaning wanting it to be 399, well it will be £399 in the UK if thats any consolation lol

Maybe not then, just seen few sites mentioning a £450 price point in the UK. Still a day one purchase regardless
