Thoughts on Ryse my transition ps4 to xbox1

Crimson Dragon did terribly in every review, but I wouldn't know past that..

Hmm i see lol i mean i risked it for ryse because i couldnt pass up the theme but i wont risk it for crimson dragon

It is single player, with leader boards.

•this title is very hard to praise or dislike. It is a pretty basic game, Shoot, dodge, collect. Besides that the story it's lacking but there. It has a decent amount of levels all with replay able value if you are a challenge hunter like myself.

Something I noticed in this game first that was almost it's demise on my system. It is very disorienting you must fly your dragon while aiming your offensive capabilities and dodging oncoming fire. So we are talking movement on a scale most games do not
go.. "If that makes any sense"

•added value to the game lies in evolving your dragon to maximum form or ultimate form as it's called.

This pretty much takes one play through or some research to where certain seeds are then you can farm them. Exp is still needed to be maxed out every time you evolve another level.

• overall I believe it was worth my money I got everything I want out of an game. A story, a challenge or feature worth overcoming, multiple replay value, and the sense of completing something as I only need 3 of the achievements still.

Oh btw I meant one play through per dragon too full evolution. For the price you cannot go wrong it just depends what you play.

@OP, glad you decided to make the switch and your enjoying Ryse. I've very interested in his game since I've been hearing great stuff about it. Unfortunately I won't be getting it anytime soon (Killer Instinct & Dead Rising 3 are keeping me busy) but I still
plan to pick it up eventually. Bring on TitanFall!

• also a cool feature but not quite as nice as local or multi co OP is the ability to hire other dragon riders and there dragon. Be it your friends or random gamers!

You should keep "Ryse: Son Of Rome" and just get "Forza" as another game.

Once you finish the game... you'll just want to charge through it again on a higher difficulty.

You won't unlock all the bonuses in a single playthrough and then there's the collectables as well.

The Multiplayer is great fun and it will be a while to get to level 100 with that.

Hands down the best launch game this Gen on ANY platform.

@azrael hmm that does not sound like a bad idea .. I would just have to hold off on forza for a week or two if i keep ryse. I feel like would actually enjoy the multiplayer honestly i just wish it had more customization and pvp oh man that would he awesome.
As well as co op for campaign. @listedmia510 hmm what your saying about crimson dragon sounds cool the "being able to evolve" aspect of it. I like to feel like my character had changed and progressed through the game. So i start as a young dragon and develop
through out the game? As wess as find collectibles and such? Sounds really cool ! & yes i am so glad i made the switch from ps4 to xbox one !! Who else is in it for the 1 !! Bring in the titans

•you hit it pretty spot on, the collectibles are just beacons in game but they can prove to be challenging to collect all. I was surprised at it being one of the last things I have to do as I thought it would be simple to collect them all.

•as for pvp in Ryse who knows dlc has yet to release for it. I'm just not seeing pvp in this game

I have 355 hours on Crimson Dragon. I think Forza can double that time with ease. Just my opinion though. Like you said more power to me!💪

Are we playing the same Forza? The one with like 14 tracks? The one where you got gifted cars and still had to buy them in game? The same Forza that is pushing microtransactions? While it is pretty, I wouldnt have picked it up if it wasnt given to me (twice)
A lack of tracks means you are basically just doing the same race over and over again. If you get 1000+ hrs. Out of that more power to you.

As far as Ryse goes, I am glad you are having fun OP. I dont have the game but have been told by everyone on my friends list how awesome the game is.

It would have to be called Ryse Son of Greece if we wanted to play as Spartans!

• I was hoping for something more along the lines of fighting some of the greatest battles in roman history. Instead you follow the story of an ordinary man turn Demi god! Which is cool also but I feel this game had so much imagination to go with that it
let myself down.

•besides that though I think it's a great game. Like others have said a bit repetitive, and also the dlc is nothing special. So far 3 coliseum levels and 2 outfits for character.

•Judging by first dlc release they will all contain this type of content and there fore not be totally worth it's value. Guess that's why it was only 19.99

What's interesting is that almost everywhere Ryse is reviewing well within customers, but universally quite bad with gaming press.
