Thoughts of AC Odyssey

I very much enjoyed Origins, and I have been excited about a return to naval combat. If it compares favorably to The Witcher 3, then even a little grinding could be overlooked. Sounds like I may have to start a download...

I’m 35 hours into Odessey. I’m loving it.

Depending on how you like to do things, it can be very grinding when it comes to resource collection for upgrading equipment and your ship. Playstyle can be easily adapted: use weapons and gear you collect instead of constantly upgrading what you have, and
only upgrade what you really want done on your ship.

Leveling up does not require much grinding. I’m level 22 at this point, and I’ve only had to grind four levels.

Overall, it requires much less grinding than Skyrim or the Witcher 3.

This may be the best game I’ve played since the Witcher 3 (though I don’t consider it better than TW3). If you liked Origins, and the direction Origins moved the franchise in, I suspect you’ll enjoy Odyssey.

I pre-ordered the Ultimate edition, and if I could do it over, I would.

Same here. I do believe the new one came too close to the previous chapter...

I have been playing it and its a great game, I do agree it can be a bit grinding

I'm not buying it until further down the line
