The ones who are rejecting the Kinect arent messing anything up but they are missing out on the future

 

I don't care about kinect. i use it for skype and thats it. i HATE MOTION CONTROL GAMES.

also it was forced on me and i didnt want it for 360 and i didnt want it for x1. dont give me "it wasnt forced on me" talk i wanted a xbox one and a controller thats it.

 

I personally don't think that people are ruining it. Do I use my Kinect on my Xbox One daily? Absolutely. Do I feel that it should be up to the gamer as to whether it should come with their console? Sure, it is their money after all. The Kinect is a great
addition to the console for me. I use it for the television commands, Xbox Fitness, etc. All of it is a great addition for me, but I can't speak for everyone.

Gamers as a whole have a right to choose what comes with their console, and Microsoft did a great job releasing the version without the Kinect as well, this will bring more gamers to the console, therefore equaling more console sales. The accessory isn't
for everyone, and now they have that choice to make if they choose when purchasing their Xbox One.

No offense Vinnie, but if flailing my arms around like a maniac while playing terrible games is the future then perhaps I need to find a new hobby. Like a QB in the NFL, the Kinect had it's chance to start and all it did was throw interceptions. It's the
Tim Tebow of video game tech. Hyped. Lot's of potential. Throws like a left handed girl throwing with their right hand....wait....huh. People are eventually going to get sick and tired of playing Dance Central and the Kinect will be sent out to pasture where
it belongs. Which is good cause then MS can focus on things that matter....like........I don't know....good games that don't require me to do jumping jacks in my living room like I'm in high school gym class.

 

It's Microsoft who need to start making killer Kinect games and adding those unmissable features into their 'regular' games.

Third parties aren't going to do it when they also have to make games for Sony's machines, Nintendo, and the PC. That why we get things like simple voice commands and 'leaning', nice features don't get me wrong but hardly something that is going to convince
Kinect sceptics to buy into 'the future of innovation'.

 

I can see both sides here. I understand that third party developers have more of a reason not to support the Kinect because every Xbox One owner does not own one now. So, developers that were planning to release a Kinect only
game may change their minds because the Kinect now has a smaller market.

I also understand that there was no killer Kinect game/app, so consumers didn't want to pay $100 more for a device that they may not use. I don't think those guys have ruined innovation. Microsoft could still bring out an amazing
Kinect game, app or feature.. or all three that will get the Kinect market to grow and then maybe third party devs may support the Kinect.

I was one of those consumers who wanted an Xbox One, but did not want the Kinect. I thought Microsoft would drop the Kinect, but not for a few years so I went out and brought a Xbox One with Kinect and I'm glad I did. I think
the Kinect is a great piece of kit that makes my hobby that little bit easier; turning on the console, switching from game to game, app to app. The Kinect has the potential to create something amazing and I'm hoping to see that with indie developers.

 

i think the kinnect has potential too BHC bluez n 2z. the problem is if the amount of people with kinnect is small, there is no reason for anyone to try and unlock that potential for a small group of players. why put in kinnect features if just only 20%-30%

I'm sorry, but Microsoft failed to make anything worthwhile for Kinect to begin with. If anything it's their fault for delivering us a device that was going to change the 360, but instead, we got nothing but mundane games. Gamers finally realize that there's
no point in owning one unless you want one for voice commands/gesture commands. That's all it's good for these days.

Can you name a few games that were great? Yeah they had some dance games that had some popularity, but that was it. Seriously, it's a waste of time now, gamers know they're not going to get great games with it, and Microsoft finally realized that.

I understand using it for voice and gesture commands, but the price it goes for isn't warranted for just that. I expected a device that'd deliver a whole new way to play games, instead it was just a failed attempt to cash in on the motion controlled gaming.

If MS wants the kinect to actually be worth my money, then they better make games that are great and fun for kinect, otherwise what's the point?

 

You don't need kinect to stream on Xbox. Can't you just go to the app and then select "Start Broadcast"?

I agree with you, third party developers will not waste their resources on a product (Kinect) because not every Xbox One owner has one, but that's where Microsoft come in. Microsoft now need to persuade consumers and developers
of why the Kinect is must have. I'm hoping indie developers will create some amazing games with the Kinect, there is already a few supporting the Kinect.

 

OP, Titles like this and the moaning that go's with it are not only negative towards the console but also the community. No-one wants to hang around whingy moany pants pete. I don't use my Kinect due to space limitations, But I spent hours on Saturday have
pure fun on the XB1 with Titanfall kinect free. This "innovation" you speak of should be dead and buried, the Kinect is still available and allot of people Do use it. I agree with gg's thought's, If people want it they'll buy it.

 

Let Nintendo do all the innovating... they're already ruined

 

^^^ Nintendo is far from being ruined. Nice try though. I've seen the ONE and the PS4 in action and have played both. Long story short.......I bought a Wii U and all 3 of my kids own a 3DS. Then again I'm only 1 person and Japan is a made up country that
doesn't really exist.
