those that are rejecting the kinnect for xbox one are ruining innovation in gaming for the rest of us. what i mean is this, we don't know what plans MS and game developer's have or had planed for the xbox one kinnect. now they won't do these innovated things
because a lot of people are gonna buy kinnectless xbox ones or trade their kinnect into gamestop for $40. i just saw a gamestop ad saying you will get $40 for your kinnect. now there is no more incentive for MS or game developer's to come up with innovated
stuff in games that we can do with kinnect. so us gamers looking toward the future will not see any of the cool things that where most likely planned for kinnect. i like how in dead rising 3 i can say "over hear!" and zombies come toward me. or shaking my
controller to get a zombie off of me instead of jamming on the X button. plus if you wanna twitch games, you need the kinnect if you want people to see you on the stream. plus voice commands do make a lot of things on the xbox one easier and more fluid to
do. i can tell my xbox to read message instead of going into menus to read messages from friends. or say xbox launch to get into MP games with friends instead of hitting the guide button, selecting messages, clicking on accept. and who knows what was in store
for the future of gaming. who knows what cool stuff we could have been able to do with games in the future using kinnect. but since so many people rejected it to the point that MS is selling kinnectless xbox ones, we probably won't ever get to see those new
ways of gaming with the kinnect. agree or disagree? let's discuss.

If I install a game, do I need the disc in the console to play it?

If you install from disc, yes.

This was one of the features that was reversed when the Internet exploded with "Microsoft is ruining gaming"kind of media posts. Hopefully they'll bring it back for those of us who are always connected to the Internet.

 

Kinnect For People Who Are Disabled

I was watching my granddaughter play a Dance game on the Kinnect. I can see how this would be fun for young people and those who are in good health. Those of us who can't stand for long times or have mobility issues, what good is having the Kinnect for
us other than an expensive chat/video tool? I see there are quite a few Kinnect games and if you are physically unable to play on the Kinnect then you lose out on playing those games correct? Thanks.

Well considering, a Plex app was just announced that is going to be adding a ton of new voice commands and other features for kinect, it doesn't seem to me that anything was ruined for anyone.

The amount of grandiose delusions you people have is amazing. But I'm going to agree with Sword there: it looks like you all should be able to enjoy your Kinects just fine.

Ive got to agree with the OP, if a awesome game were released that was kinect only people would eat it up. But sadly people are afraid of it for some reason.

 

Spend a few hours on this board and you'll quickly realize that gamers DO NOT like change whatsoever. There are countless threads about games people want remade, sequels they'd like to see, FPS games that are relatively the same as the last 25 that came
out.... Developers need to make a game that's a knockout for the Kinect, but what is their motivation to do so? Remake Call of Duty 28 and call it Call of Duty 29 and it will sell millions. You constantly hear of Dev teams having to let employees go (See:
Crytek) and it's no wonder why they don't want to bother with innovation.

LOL.....The whole Kinect thing is funny. Some people act like if Microsoft hadn't removed the Kinect then developers would have all of sudden, out of nowhere, started creating all these mind blowing gaming experiences. LOL. What evidence do any of you have
to lend credence to your delusional thoughts? There hasn't even been a shred of innovation or even a half decent game released since the Kinect launched all those years ago. The Fighter Within was supposed to be the game that changed everyone's mind and yet
it's considered by many to be one of the worst games ever made.....LOL......and it's a "next gen" game on "next gen" consoles....LOL. Then you got people like CAMHAWK who actually believe the vocal minority is who Microsoft listened to. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Billion

The Kinect isn't a failed product as it's still in use by many Xbox Live users and still selling. Besides, a lot of those people who get the Kinectless consoles may eventually decide to get a Kinect sensor as well to add to their enjoyment and options available
to them (like the aforementioned Twitch streaming).

 

You made me laugh Nappy. Yeah what u mentioned makes sense. I do however think they have an ear to the users if enough are upset about something. Innovation is great when it makes sense, not when it's innovation for the sake of innovation.
