  2. FF7 breeding/training the rare golden chocobo that eventually allows you to cross over the ocean to a cave where you get the coveted Knights of the Round summon. It took me like a week to get this special bird.

  3. Discovering Reptile in the original Mortal kombat was a blast. The first time I played Doom was omfg, it's 3d and I'm shooting things. The 1st few hours on the SNES and "Secret of Mana", the Mode 7 was amazing. The 1st time I played Unreal on the PC was
graphically mind boggling. GTA3 on the PS2, the first time I played this I didn't stop for months, absolutely amazing game for it's time.

@RedEye GTA3 on the PS2, the first time I played this I didn't stop for months, absolutely amazing game for it's time. I agree, I remember playing lots of GTA III a few years back. Outside of its story, I remember spamming cheat codes and causing lots of
mayhem. Like my previous post almost.

  5. Dropping random tanks was a blast, to me the entire game was a special moment from beginning to end. Not to mention I'd bought it before the Australian Re-Call.

  6. Call of Duty 4 - going 78/1 on Downpour Domination.

Borderlands 2 - The whole game, an absolute masterpiece, could play that game for 12 hours straight beit, pkaying co-op, farming, going on a rampage. Favourite game of last generation.

    Pandemonium 1 and 2 - late 90's platforming at it's best. DUCK!

Courier Crisis - brilliant 90's gaming

Vigilante 8 - This game need a massive reboot, it's on the 360 marketplace, brillaint multiplayer, jsed to play this on the N64

Booting up Metropolis Street Racer for the first time on Dreamcast was pretty jaw dropping back in the day, beating Legion, the last boss in Shadow Man. My first (of many) online races on PGR2, beating Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja difficulty \o/

There's tons more but those always spring to mind as big EFF YEAH moments!

So many epic, life-changing feats from Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 (Xbox). Seeing the 'Master Ninja' achievement unlock for 2 stands as my all time favorite gaming moment.

I was in Japan and bought Goldeneye on the day it was released. I was a huge gamer then, and I don't recall much buzz prior to it coming out. My friend just happened to read about it, so we went picked it up. That night, I proceeded to absolutely destroy
and dismantle about 4 of my close Japanese friends! I remember them just losing their minds in 1v1 and 1v3 matches. From there, I went on to win tournament after tournament back home. That title provided years of great gaming. Good times.

  10. Capturing/taming my first Toko in Ni No Kuni. I almost called my mom, but she would have not only been confused but would wonder why I was speaking in Japanese.

  11. A great gaming moment for me was Star Wars Arcade on the 32X. Me and a mate had played it on co-op and the ship was so knackered that if one of us had farted it would have blown up.

Somehow though we made that final shot and beat the game. I don't think I've yet had a greater 'Hell Yeah!' moment than that.

  12. Hey guys, I'm a hons student from Cape Town and I'm doing a dissertation on the social depth of online gaming. As an avid gamer since being very young, this is a really important project to me.

I was hoping to get some people to fill in a short online survey:

    docs.google.com/.../viewform

I know how annoying these things can be, so no hard feelings if you don't want to participate.

    Thank you

"Bizarre GTA- I was playing GTA Online with a couple friends privately. She was giving me tips on how to make legitimate money in GTA Online and then we were causing old-fashioned rampages in Los Santos. And some races here and there. ;) We were playing
through the break of dawn lol. "

Glad to be part of one of your favorite gaming moments. You riding atop that truck while I was driving willy-nilly through the hills was hysterical.

I'd list more special gaming moments, but there are too many to list. I'd probably be repeating myself too because this thread has been done at least a dozen times. :p
